The title question is a legit one considering that McHale went with a lineup with Scola at the 5 , Bud and Twill at the 3-4 late in the 4th quarter while Orlando went with Davis and Howard on their front line. Against most teams .... Sure I can see that but against Howard , Davis and Hido ... wtf was McHale smokin ?!
"Business-wise" I think we should tank. This team probably won't make the playoffs, and fans aren't excited about the season. Hence, won't sell a bunch of tickets. If you want to sell tickets, you need to get your fans pumped. Therefore, I think we should tank, get a high pick that can be the "new face of the franchise", sell a ish-load of jerseys and tickets for the new season. Then, the season after that, change the jerseys, make new designs (hopefully go back to the retro's some way), then AGAIN sell loads of jerseys because face it everyone wants the new one's. New "star potential" player + New look to the franchise = $$$ Wouldn't mind suffering 6 months of L's for this.
why would anyone want us to be a #8 seed??? and get the #15 pick in the draft and stay a #8 seed… who cares if we tank.. i hope we do and go get a really good pick… NO TEAM ever got really good unless they got a top 3 pick in the draft.. Rockets got Akeem, Yao, etc.. Dallas got Dirk in the draft via trade, MJ got drafted, the examples go on and on and there are more examples supporting high draft picks than mid season trades… so i'd say EVERYONE on here should be support of tanking AND at some point this year trading scola and Martin in separate deals for first round picks.. another one for 2012 and one for 2013.. giving us 5 first round picks in 2 years…
