Its one game after a long lock out. He didn't have the training camp and he is rusted. He didn't play much basketball during the lockout. A lot of players needs preseason to get back into rhythm. He will be fine. He just need a couple of game to get into NBA basketball shape and his efficient scoring will come back. I just don't know why people hate on him so much. Many people on this Garm expects Kmart to be some kind of superstar but he's not. He is just a very good 2nd tier player, not a star. For a guy that is not a star player, he score very well. Plus NBA players go through shooting slump all the time. Its not a bad thing that he's going through a shooting slump in his only 2 preseason game even though he didn't even play much because the young guys needed the minutes and his first regular season game. You guys are just over your heads. Kmart is a good person when he help a family paid for a funeral of a kid who died when he read on a paper and decided to help. He also trying to put seatbelts on school bus. Overall he's a good guy and I just dont understand the hate. You guys just need to stop the hating. Period. Im sick of all the hate threads on a player who happens to be on a shooting slump. So what, you want to trade a player when he is on a shooting slump after the first regular season game? This is getting pathetic. The Clutchfans site is for Rockets fan to cheer for the Rockets and talk about the Rockets as a team and SUPPORT them through thick and thin, and overall, this site is for true fans. Clutchfans is not for people who just get on and bash Rockets players and bandwagons. If you're not a true fan on the Rockets, dont bother getting on clutchfans.
Chill dude.....I get that he's a good person. I don't know about you but the combo of Bud and Kevin is just too much, if you still play Scola. Dalembert alone can't change anything. Those two were never meant to play together..........Adelman did it but I don't think Mchale the rookie coach can make it happen. Players and coaches are overwhelmed..........we don't have the superstar that gets us thru this stretch and the veteran leader that speaks up in the locker room.. (Chuck)
Kevin Martin is a good player, but he will never be good enough to be great. His game is limited to the offensive end, where he is special, but not great. He is nothing more than a trade asset for the Rockets. You chill
I dont think kmart looked any different today than he usually looks (not performance wise, I meant his demeanor), he's always calm and doesn't look like he cares too much about the game.
I am not sure he will get the opportunities this year that he had last year...too many other options. DD
Thanks for pointing that out. I like him even more now. What a nice guy. Good role model. I for one have no probs with K-Mart, we need put an elite wing defender next to him. Bud is better suited to come off the bench.

I remember Martin would have some serious shooting slumps like this last season. We really need to wait it out and give him another 4 or 5 games before jumping to any conclusions. He probably just needs a few more games to warm up and find his rhythm. If it doesn't get better after 4 or 5 more games then you know he is just phoning it in and needs to be traded.
pretty sure he would rather get traded then benched..anyways..gotta admit i was mad at him for this game.(me cursing at work while listening to the game in a pharmacy)...but its just the first game of the season..lets see where he is at after 10 games..hopefully he doesn't pull a AB or a Tmac..
