I saw his game from 1998 and I believe last night's free throw is an accident. He just need adjust his feeling.
Last night, Yao seems a little nervous. Maybe he is too afraid of making mistakes. However, he shouls know you must make many mistakes before become a real GREAT CENTER.
They don't lock down threads for being negative. But they do lock down threads that contain one sentence and don't add anything interesting. Be *SMARTER*, guys, about the threads you start.
I just want to know what others think about something. And i am not used to writing many words in english.
I was at the game last night. My seats were right behind the backboard that the Rockets shot on during the 2nd half (when Ming missed almost all his FT attempts).. The Blazer staff handed out those annoying blow up sticks and the crowd around us was really rowdy and it seemed like the ruckus really bothered Ming.. I guess I might have to take some credit for firing the crowd up because I was being very vocal in my support for the Rockets and was pissing a couple people off around me which is always fun in the hostile environment! Anyway, I think it was a combination of nerves and the frenzied crowd...
i'm sure they do. I meant to add that there is no excuse that these should get to him.. but thats what it seemed like.. Obviously, every road team deals with that pressure during free throws.. For whatever reason, it seemd to be bothering him last night.
I don't think that it was just that. I mean players get in slumps from the line. I am the best free throw shooter on my team, and once in a while I look like Shaq out there.
Maybe Moochie cursed him. He'll be back shooting his usually 100% next game against the Warriors. Nothing to worry about.
I don't remember anybody complaining and saying that Ming needs to change position or that he needs to go and work on his FT shooting for hours. Hmmm, what if Steve had been the one missing those FTs? So this thread is pretty unnecessary. Unlike some people, most of us don't feel like crapping all over a player for making mistakes.
that's because ming worked hard, rudy said yao always be the first one got to the gym, and the last one to leave, i didn't saw these kind of effort around NBA players in a long times.
Phew, I'm glad that Yao came to the team, because none of our players (Mobley and Francis in particular) have reputations as gym rats, do they?
