The whole league knows its not hard to beat the Rox. There must be a manual. Probably reads something like this:

    1. Pressure the ball after a made basket.
    (Rox can't break a press)

    2. Trap the ball whenever you feel like it.
(Rox love dribbling up and down the sideline and baseline).

    3. Push Yao out of the box.
(That'll limit his scoring the few times he does get to touch the ball).

    4. Show on the perimeter.
(The Rox play nervous. This'll make them even more anxious to jack up a stupid jumper).

    5. Attack the basket.
(Rox play "matador" defense and prefer their teamates to stop the penetrator).

    6. Feel free to shoot jumpers.
(Rox hate putting a hand in your face. But they love fouling the jump shooter. Footnote: Obtaining a foul works best if the game is on the line.)

    and most importantly...

    7. Never, ever mention anything about a shot clock.
(Rox honestly don't believe it exists).

    Uuggghhhhh!!!!

With this knowledge, Houston Baptist University could beat us. Anyone care to add a new chapter to the manual?

You forgot to mention one thing. There is a life-time warranty that guarantees it works until Rudy gets fired.:D

    You forgot...

Any Rocket that gets their shot blocked/stolen is two points because the Rockets
are so shell-shocked that you blocked/stole their shot and complaining to the
refs, that you usually have no Rocket getting back on defense. Easy two points
    for the opponents.

Also, right after Francis or Mobley get a dunk, get on offense for
a fast-break, because Francis and Mobley are always so excited that
they got a dunk that they usually slap the back-board and look for the
cameras (they seem to think that one dunk is equal to winning the
championship). This is an easy two points for the opponents.

I laughed my butt off on this one. SF did it on several occasions.

Really all you need to do is use a zone defense.......

Or have them shoot free throws.

The single time I saw us beat an interior zone last night was when Portland's interior three collapsed on a penetrating Steve... and much to my surprise he found a wide open Yao for a slam.

I thought, "surely he'll learn from that..."
