watching Norris and Thomas play makes my stomach turn I forgot how did they get into to the NBA damn they are pathetic We should Give Maddux a shot now I mean he cant do any worse than Moochie. And Kenny trade his ass I dont care for what as long as he is out of our hands. Were waiting for you Mobes I guess some of us dont appreaciate what we have sometimes i now have learned my lesson Mobley is important to our team he can atleast hit his damn open shots and create plays offensivly
Yao, Francis and Mobley are the Rockets, anyone else can pack there bags and leave town. Well we might won't to hold on to Griffin until atleast is contract is up.
These last few game showed what Cat means to this team...you can not double Francis and leave Cat open....tonight the Rocks had no one to hit the outside shot. And Free throws played another key role in another road loss. DaDakota
I'm for you, Monkey. Couple days back I was with Clutch, suggesting that Cat and Kenny didn't fit in with the Rocks system. But so what. The system doesn't even exist yet. And, whatever the impatient ones amongst us want to think, the sytem on a new team (make no mistake - we ARE one) doesn't develop in seven games or whatever. I missed Cat tonight. And I have ultimate faith in him finding his way. He's less stubborn and more a broken record. You fix that kinda stuff with grease and rosin. Kenny's such a competitor I know he'll find a way. Mooch is, of course, another story. He's CBA all the way and he thinks he's a star. That ain't Chuckie, it ain't Mario, it ain't Hawkins. He's a guy who wants and deserves to start. Maybe with us, maybe elsewhere, but he freaking deserves it. On Cat: Don't get me wrong. I don't need Cat to suborinate himself. I need him to read the defense. And we haven't seen enough to see if he can or can't. Again the caveat: I only watched the fourth tonight. Again busy for reasons unworth explaining. But I take back my posts in Clutch's thread, re: Mobes. The new Sac-Town lives in Houston. Whether that works or not depends on Cat's development over at least a full year. But I don't need him to be a role player. I need him to be a star in the sets. I need him to be a better looking Hornaceck. And I believe in him to do it. Jury's out on KT, as badass as he is. Meanwhile I'm stickin with my previous take on Norris. Get him a starting job on another squad and let him do his stuff. Let him be a Rocket killer even. I geniunely love him and I'll cheer that too. A thread I wanted to post two games back, in response to Clutch's, but wasn't able to on account of lack of internet access was supposed to be called: OR... We could have it all It was all about what we did to the Wizards when Yao was in the game versus what we could do when he wasn't. We're not just deep. We're passing deep. We've got two squads who oughtta be starting. And when we're winning (a la Rox v. Wiz) no one seems to mind. I say, get all you can outta Yao and rest him. And if you haven't played Yao too much, and if Yao's awesome lightning passes out of the post are getting caught and shot, he's Sabonis plus and the rest of the team's the Mavs. And Les Alexander's seemingly pompous pronouncements about this team verge on coming true. I've never been this excited to be a Rockets fan. Not in 81, not in 85, not in 94 and just BARELY in 95. Get used to the newbies. Get used to the Yao fans. Get used to teams who can't stand playing us. It's around the corner. And I couldn't be happier. Go Rockets. Go Steve. Go Cat. Go Yao. Go Grif (you'll get there, buddy). Go MoTay. GOGOGO Rice. Go Hawk. Go Cato. Relax, THEN go Mooch. Get acclimated then go T-Mo. And then get your rest and go Boki, go Jason and I can't wait to learn about Pete. Every power ranking's got us top 4-6 in the West and it's the first time I don't disagree. At the risk of banality, I LOVE THIS GAME. Even after a tough loss. I love it. And I love all y'all for sticking it out with me. Especially the old timers. But especially the newcomers too. You're in for something special. Stick around.
Clutch: just an aside and I won't mind if you don't respond. And I know I wasn't especially clever. And I know I'm working on a buzz. But I would be unduly flattered if I got my first personal response from you tonight. (Been around since 98 and all, reg since 99) and after agreeing with you wholeheartedly I'm having a change of heart. If I could get a reply from you based on my admittedly buzzed post, it'd make my night. Figure I'll sleep either way, but I could sleep like I always do or sleep flattered. Your call. And thanks as always for the site and even more for you registering your own opionions when the spirit moves you. xo batman
MAN wish you had been out on the court tonight. The Rockets could have used your sprit. Have you been doing the Rudy meditation......Huuummmm.........Huuummmm You deserve the Fan of the Year award. I wish I had your vibe after tonights effort.
Only a few days ago people were bashing Cat for shooting too much. Now we're missing him. Fact is that the Rox looked very bad on offense in the last two games. Was that because of the absense of Mobley?
What happened to the 'Cat's injury a blessing in disguise' thread of only a few days ago??? It just shows the diversity of people's opinions on this board....which is a good thing....sometimes.
So just because he's not the only problem on the team we shouldn't fix the problem that he is? That's kind of like saying that you aren't going to get treatment for cancer because you also have the flu.
Well, if you want to look at it that way, Mobley should be the flu because that is not a big deal and niether are Cat's problems. He was changing his game for the team, taking less shots and passing more. Now it's just a matter of him picking the right time to do it. In one of his last games, he passed the ball when he should have shot it and shot it when he should have passed it.
