I agree, and it may be best that he isn't throwing down field. We have got to get us some WR's in this upcoming draft. I thought we were thin at that position when the season started and without AJ we may be one of the weakest teams in the league at the WR spot right now.
I pity any defense that will have to face this offense in the playoffs. They will be totally under-prepared for the next round.
caldwell hasn't been doing good at all in pass protection the few times they've looked to pass. Colt's know what is coming with this conservative play calling. Though we did want kubiak to run run run run run. Tired of these refs taking away huge plays away from watt with lame penalties.
When AJ went out the first time, Schaub didn't really throw downfield either. Heck, even with AJ the Texans don't really throw downfield. A lot of the big yards with this offense came with YAC. I feel it's more due to execution with the injuries than just playcalling. The same play can go 5 yards or 20 yards just with different players involved in the same play.
Mario is worth $16M on the salary cap. No way he gets that considering Foster needs his raise. That's a lot of scratch available to go sign a FA WR, and then you draft one in the 1st 2 rounds as well.
