Well, right now we're on pace to win forty some odd games, that should put us in. But besides just the numbers I feel like we have the talent neccesary to be a contender this year. maybe not championship contenders but i predict a second round apperance, maybe conference championship apperance. Anyway, glad i found clutchcity.net. it is the first good rockets site i have seen anywhere. I have lived in Houston for several years now and am a big rockets fan. By the way, Beat the Blazers!
It depends, if we play like we our right now we won't make it. But this team is good enough to make it.
No, the Rockets will not make the playoffs. The Rockets do not know how to hold onto a late 4th quarter lead. They've lost the close games. In other games, they've barely managed to beat teams that they should have blown out.
Like the game at LA, when we were down in the fourth quarter? Some of you need to learn to relax. We've lost two games that we should've won... two whole games out of 82. It happens to everyone, even the Lakers. Stuff like that happens-- it's just a part of NBA basketball. If it's a continuing pattern, it's a problem, but two games hardly constitutes a pattern, and two games is hardly an adequate number to judge a season by.
Tommy, I agree. Coaching late in the 4th is what separates good from bad teams. Good teams go to the Playoffs. Bad teams repeat the process that Rudy's Rox love. Despite Rudy's deepest team ever, I don't think they will make it. Change is needed. If Rudy's supporters agree that he should be fired if they don't make the playoffs, I will be happy.
The Rockets will make the playoffs. Things will start to come together soon. Rice had a bad game tonight, but he's looking pretty good. Plus, when Cuttino gets back, this team will be much better. I don't even want to hear stuff about how Cuttino doesn't fit on this team. He's pretty much the only consistent jump shooter on the team. Cod
No playoffs in the forseeable future This team sux, Kenny thomas and moochie need to be shipped out and ming needs to get the ball. Oh and they need a half decent coach
Yes we will make the playoffs even after the very poor performances in these last 2 games. Sure it might be a 7th or 8th seed, but the playoff experience will be valuable none the less.
I'd be very surprised if the Rockets didn't. The talent is definitely there but the team needs direction. With a little time, I am sure Francis can lead this team into the playoffs.
Yes. #8 seed. The more games we lose though, the higher first round draft pick we give to Memphis. Just Imagine if Memphis gets #1 and #15 though.
Honestly, I think it's going to be a tight race. There's still chemistry issues to resolve and the addressing of players who need to know their role among other stuff. I'm more worried about those two than our defense and late game lapses.
We will NOT make the playoffs. C'mon, everybody, humor me for a bit...Besides Yao's play, has this team has made ANY progress since the start of the season? They have made ZERO progress. They keep making the same damn mistakes over and over again, the same stupid decisions, and couldn't hit the ground if they fell out of a tree. Our point guard turns it over too much, we have one of the worst backup point guards in the league, our shooting guard is too streaky, our power forwards are soft inside, we're getting almost ZERO from the small forward position offensively, and the one bright spot at center doesn't get enough minutes to make much of an impact. You keep watching them and hoping that that magical light bulb turns on and they "get it", but it's just not happening. I'll root for them until the end, but this season looks like it will end up as being the biggest waste of talent in team history. Add to the fact that both Utah is starting to come on and the Lakers will be back in the playoffs with Shaq playing, and Houston looks to be the odd team out. C'mon, Rockets! Prove me wrong!!
As much as I hate you for bashing me on the another thread, but I have to agree with your post. Rox are not showing signs of improvement. Well, on the bright side, we have everybody healthy beside Cat.
