Note to Moochie: It's not over until the fat-Moochie has sung.

This team doesn't have enough versatile offensive players to be effective against a zone...it doesn't matter what kind of gimmick scheme they run, they'll always be erratic because of the makeup of the roster, which I've come to accept.

Ming's far from a zone-buster, for anyone who thinks getting him the ball is easy, yet alone an all-ecompassing solution against a zone. The 1st half against Dallas where he was carving up their zone was as much an aberration as anything...I was shocked it took them so long to patch up the weak spot in their defense that was allowing him to roll to the basket so easily, but they adjusted, shut him out in the 2nd half, and no team has played the Rockets that way since.

Barring improved shooting, we're going to have to live with this kind of inconsistency.

Yao costs the Rockets another game! If he had made the freethrows, then the Rockets would have won.

If we've been like it all year, we wouldn't have a winning record.

Do we look bad tonight? Yup. Does it mean the entire season is going to be that way? Nope.

rudy T has rocks in he's head

he plays ming way too little in terms of minutes... notice how yao gets subbedout blazers establish a handy 13 point lead, ming comes back in the pull withing 3?. i'm not saying you shouldnt rest yao, but dont put him on the bench too long. had you guys been able to hit some threes you might have pulled this one out

I presume it had nothing with the team shooting 35% from the field and Steve's great 1:1 assist/TO ratio...

WEll doesn't matter...........it does, it hurts a little........but we aren't going anywhere with Mr Moochie playing his dribblemania, and our shooters shooting like EYES WIDE SHUT.

Dude, you need to chill!! No way this loss can be blamed on Yao. If you take a moment to consider AS A TEAM the Rockets shot an impressive 35%, including Yao shooting 2/3. If the other Rockets had managed to hit just 4 more shots, then we could all celebrate. Unfortunately that's not the case and AS A TEAM the Rockets lost. No single one persons fault. A combined piss-poor effort AS A TEAM.

Heck, we we're begging for Ming back in the game and Moochie out of it, but yall outplayed the guys on the court and we got outcoached, i.e. playing Moochie so much and not so much Ming.

Hey, shut the f!ck up tommycatluvsme!!! Ming did not cost Rockets the lost. Of course he's not hitting his free throw but look at his shooting, 3/4 and ten points in 16mins!! They lost because Rudy decided to bench him!!! It's good he's going to the free throw line but idiotic Rudy bench him trying to make other players happy! The whole team is to be blame!!

Didn't see the game. We're we missing open shots or was the Portland D that good? Scorewise this game looks like the classic snoozefests we had last year. What happened?

So Moochie "I can't hit the side of a red barn with a leaded bowling ball" Norris takes the clutch shot! Now that is a brilliant strategy.

We've been fooled...Glen Rice still sucks.

In my opinion what makes a good player is someone who plays good on a consistent basis. Based on the way I look at it, we only have one good player on our team, possibly two since Yao had his coming out party. A team with two good players isn't going to go very far. We need to get some consistency quickly, or we should prepare ourselves for a long losing streak.

And oh yeah, the offense does not look better without Cuttino. I think that's notion has officially been squashed after this sorry excuse for a game.

Lastly, with half a dozen players on our team struggling like crazy, I'm upset Nachbar hasn't got a chance to play. It doesn't really make me feel too encouraged about Boki's game if Rudy doesn't even think he can do better than some of these jokers we've been putting on the court this season.
