Yeah, I'd like to know the real reason for that too. How come Boki hasn't played yet? Especially during the times Moochie played badly and the Hawk struggled offensively?

So, who do you sit to play Nachbar? Rice? Thomas? Griffin?

Nachbar got injured early on, and his pre season was basically lost. Nachbar played some games but complained about some pain. Plus, he truly looked lost on the court whenever he did play.

I think that in order for him to play someone has to get traded in front of him. I think it will be Thomas.

Why don't we play him is the better question? He can play the shooting guard for the next few games, when Hawkins is not in the game.

He will play he is just behind, because a rookie has to learn a lot and he is behind that curve because of being injured. I promise you he will play.

MJ was considering picking him he was really high on him. And the Wizards pick was a couple higher then what the Rockets selected him at.

And this was a pretty deep draft.

Well, I'm sure there must be a reason Rudy isn't playing him. Maybe he just doesn't think he's ready yet. Of course, part of it might be that the Rockets have been in any blowout situations. If the Rockets can get a big enough lead in a game I'm sure Boki will get some time to hopefully prove that he deserves minutes in closely contested games.

Barring injuries, at this rate, after Moochie, Rice and Rudy retire.

Many may disagree, but decrease Kenny's minutes.
If there is one person right now that easily breaks up the offense, it's the Black-Hole.

I say play the rookie now so he can build up his confidence.

    The reason Nachbar isn't playing:

    1. With Kenny Thomas in a contract year the rockets are trying to help him either make a permanent roster spot or showcase his talents for another team

    2. The Rockets are trying to get what they can out of Glen Rice. Which is starting to look pretty good

    3. They know that they have Nachbar for four years and are willing to use this one for development.

    4. Even Eddie Griffin has played some minutes at the three.

Bottom line is that we are stacked at the forward positions and the rockets are weighing their options. Almost everyone has been a proponent of a trade at some point, but you can't trade players that don't have value and you create value by playing well.

If Rice get's hurt or Kenny Thomas gets traded, look for T-Mo and Nachbar to get the minutes. And don't get frustrated if T-Mo gets the most of them. Once again, they have to see what they have. In Nachbar they seem to be comfortable that he will be around for awhile.

    Nachbar is not Langhi

Remember before the start of the season when you guys were acting like he should be starting and we should've traded him for Kenny? People here were acting like he was going to come in and be a starter. He isn't getting any minutes. I think that he should get 5-10 minutes a game, but that's it, until he proves that he is ready to play.

If Hawkins get 4 pts, 1 assist, 1 steal, why need to give him 32 mins as the shooting guard.? -> Give Nachbar a chance.:)

Bostan Nachbar will be a bench warmer for a very long time. I personally think he was a waste of a pick, but then again, there wasn't much else to pick.

In anycase, right now he doesn't deserve a chance

It's not his fault they are not playing him. He's a rookie. Rudy has to make evryone else happy that has been there longer. He's not a waste of a pick until he has the minutes to prove he is or not. Rudy could at least play him 5 to 10 minutes in some games. I think he will eventually.

    NewYorker,

I thought you said something similar about Yao Ming (only to a lesser degree) just a few weeks ago. Eat your words.:p

I think next year. Even when Glen Rice is cold as ice and KT is not contributing much tonight against Portland, Nachbar saw no time.

Nachbar will never play this year...... unless were out of the playoffs. Or if there are a lot of injuries.

He should have played tonight....I mean my God Rudy should have gotten Calvin off the microphone...and inserted him.

The Rockets earned their acme union cards tonight with all the bricks they were laying....and that was just at the Free throw line.
