I lasted about a minute of the video and I'm pretty proud of myself.

Not bad. I don't think I'd buy it, but it's definitely listenable.

Constructive criticism of the video: it takes you 24 seconds to start the music. The music is actually catchy; the opening is not. I almost gave up on the opening. Waiting for, then watching someone sit down in one take, and having this kind of dialogue:

    Person A: "What's up?"
Person B: "Hanging out. Yeah, what's up with you?"

is absolutely pointless, doesn't move the video's story forward. That's what cuts are for. You should edit at least twenty seconds from the front, and it'd be a lot tighter video.

^ Edit: that reads much harsher than intended. I just don't know why the same visual ingenuity and lyrical cleverness evident in the song/meat of the video isn't used in the intro, when you're trying to catch viewers' attentions.

Thanks for your feedback! (As well as everyone elses)
I see what you mean, but imo every bit of the dialogue set up the premiss of the song or to segue into the hook at the very least. The main reason it was the go-to decision is because there's a similar intro leading into the hook on the actual song, only there's a beat behind the dialogue.

Hope I dont come off as defensive as that sounds, because other wise I completely agree

No offense, but I didn't care for it.

Somebody pointed out the poor lead into the song. I agree. There is some pointless dialogue there that doesn't contribute a whole lot. I like the idea of having opening dialogue... but it seems odd to walk into a room and jump into the song after the friend says "you look like you had your dick sunburnt".

Also, the chorus seems out of place after the guy explains the alcohol problem in a hundred different ways... as in, he just said all the different problems, and now the friend is asking again "what's going on man?", "that's really what's wrong?", "how much is too much?", "and that's the problem?", and "you tried to solve it?". I understand the role of a chorus in a song, but it just seemed odd.

I think the verses were pretty funny, but the other guy ruined it a little. His hair. His jeans. "Got your dick sunburned?" And the way his voice sounds in the song doesn't sound right.

My thoughts exactly. Except I probably disliked it even more.
