I saw the 'online shopping junkie' thread, and it got me to thinking...

I was starting to do my Christmas shopping online but don't really know which sites are reliable, reasonably priced, etc. other than Amazon...

So suggestions of sites you like and/or have used?

Even though it's usually a bit overpriced, I bought all of my Christmas gifts last month on amazon.com

    I buy quite a bit through www.shopping.yahoo.com

You're not really buying from yahoo, but you're buying from companies that yahoo has backed with their faith.

It makes me feel more comfortable, and the prices can be great.

ebay is pretty good. You can get new stuff (still in the wrapper)for about 50-60% original cost. It wouldn't surprise me if half the stuff on there is hot. But you are still getting a good deal. I bought a Titans leather jacket for $80 and the supposed retail is at least 3 to 4 x that. Came in the wrapper. Great deal.

    Hayes,

If you search for a product through pricegrabber.com or dealtime.com, they invariably list a "reseller rating" or a customer review, whoch should give you an idea of how reliable they are. You can also check out a vendor directly by searching for them at resellerratings.com

Finally, you can get yourself a good credit card with fraud protection and single use numbers to further limit your exposure. Amex blue is good.

There are two other sites I like. Sometimes you can find good deals.

    1) buy.com
    2) mysimon.com (this will search several e-tailers for the best price)

    Happy shopping Hayes.
