10-3, they play the Niners tomorrow. But if they win they'll be 11-3 and the #1 seed in the AFC. Baltimore will slide to 5th and the Texans will still be #3.
We also would want the bengals to win next week to give them reason to play vs the ravens in week 17. Jets losing also helps to keep bengals alive.
Holy crap I didn't expect mathews to be a fanstay stud this week, he might have single-handedly kept me in the hunt for the top spot. I'm 24 points behind first place, and I have wallace and he has davis. We are neck and neck in points, and all I'm really trying to do is to survive this week without giving too much ground. I was freaking out, I was down by 60 to this guy and all I had was McCoy, Mathews, Detroit D and Wallace. Thanks to McCoy and Mathews, I've pulled to within 24 points!
Just got done watching the Lions and man what a freaking win. I was 12 the last time we had a winning season things are really starting to change here in Detroit . I still do not understand why Oakland chose to play Calvin 1 on 1 for most of the game but I'm glad they did playoffs here we come.
First and foremost, the Texans need to handle their biz. We should be able to win the final 2. Pittsburgh only has one game they can lose. That's tomorrow so I'll be rooting for the 49ers. The Patriots seem like they're going to win out but a loss means we jump them. The Ravens have to lose @ Cincy in week 17. It would have been nice to win out but I'm hoping that we got the garbage effort out of our system. We must take care of the ball. Period. You can't leave points on the board and expect to win. Missed field-goals, missed tackles, dropped balls, fumbles, and interceptions are the recipes of disaster.
You never know, Packers were supposed to run over the Chiefs no one predicted them to lose, so the Patriots winning out is not a guarantee at all.
I will be shocked if the Pats lose at home to either the Dolphins or Bills, especially now that the home field prize is right in front of them. Before the game today, the Packers knew their magic number was 1 and an easy team that just fired it's coach was the opponent. Pats will win out and get #1. The Steelers losing tomorrow + the Ravens losing their final game at Cincy + the Texans taking care of business isn't such a long-shot.
Well in the scenario that the Patriots lose a game then we need to win out.. and we need the Steelers to win their games, and the Ravens at least lose another game. 1. Steelers (13-3) 2. Texans (12-4) 3. Patriots (12-4) 5. Ravens (11-3) Patriots just losing doesn't insure us a spot because in the case of a 3 way record tie with the Patriots and either the Ravens or Steelers, we lose no matter what because it would be based on SOS. I think I got that right.
I confess, I'm somewhat fuzzy on the NFL playoff rules (I thought they were going to tweak them.) But, if the Steelers get the #1, that means they win the AFCN, so the Ravens can't be higher than the 5. So the Ravens winning/losing doesn't matter unless the Steelers drop a game.
Just read up on the injury. It is not career threatening and he has full movement of his extremities. The human body is a weird thing. But, I'm thrilled for him.
