A guy I went to school with my whole life was shot and killed back in november. We were pretty close too.

After school he got into the gang scene.

He's the heavy set guy in this rap video.

I know quite a few guys from where I grew up that, had they gotten that type of tough love from an elder male back in the day, would be still alive or not in prison today. Sounds like he was trying to get across the lesson normally taught by fathers to teens that talking sh-t has consequences, let him catch a couple fists now in order to miss a few bullets later.

The videotaping and subsequent uploading online for millions to see is bullsh-t though. Not sure why you would do that.

    This is too much...
Prone position the entire time. The fact it was video taped to make the aggressor feel great, and then posted to the interweb...

I don't know why you would discipline someone you care/love for with slaps, punches, and internet shame..

I think if this was a white people doing this, it would be all over fox news, but maybe I am naive...

So that kid stole a PS3 and tried to act like a bad ass about it on Facebook?

It was pretty ****ty to upload it to youtube, but I think the younger cousin got the point. Who knows what kind of guys the younger cousin was running with, but he was acting like he was a tough guy then he got an attitude adjustment the easy way....meaning only with body shots from someone who wasn't hitting him at 100%. Depending on what the situation was this may have been what that younger kid needed.

...But that was kind of hard to watch at first.

This is what had happened. The boy stole a ps3 and his older cousin took it from him to show what it's like to have something taken from you. Then he went on facebook telling everybody how he's going to beat his cousin a**. Which is why the cousin confronted him.

i agree and rep (not that it's worth anything anyhow).

"it's a tough world out there for the black man. when you do something wrong, i'm going to beat you. that way you will know how to beat your kids when they do something wrong. then when your kids grow up and their kids do something wrong, your kids will know to beat them also. yep. it's hard for the black man, so i have to raise you to be tough!"

screw "man-up". life isn't basketball. if he stole something, turn him in to the cops and let them deal with him. that's the real world. not hitting your kids/family.

Sorry, but the real world isn't that simple, "Excuse me officer Rick, can you please pretend arrest my son to teach him a lesson? :)". The cops aren't going to be there to help this boy when **** goes down. When he gets in trouble with the wrong crowd he can't say "Excuse me gents, one moment whilst I dial officer Rick". If he talked the mess he talked to his cousin to the wrong dude, some street thug idiot, he would be dead. He needs to realize behaving in a certain manner has consequences, as was said earlier, take a punch now and dodge a bullet later.
