Agreed. Obviously, Lin is an ABC. He can't speak Chinese fluently.

I, as a Chinese, regard he as an American. Not Chinese or Taiwanese.

Yi is slightly better than Darko.

Darko averages over 2.5 blocks a game. Yi can't guard his chair.

You should be banned just because of you're stupidity. Darko is now one of the best interior defenders in the league. Yi is ourt of the league.

I agreed that Thabeet is a bad player, but he is better than Yi for sure.

at first I was like WTF? but then I started thinking about it and I can see how you think that. Both players players two different positions and different styles though. Yi has more skills offensively, while Thabeet is there to block shots and rebound at least. Both don't seem to have very high bball IQ tho.

If Thabeet is waived and no longer perused by NBA teams. I would like to see how he does in the Chinese Basketball Association

Whatever keeps Dalembert away. He can have a seat next to Lin on the bench.

Darko can block shots because he is tall. Your supposed to block shots if your 7 fucking feet. Darko still sucks and airballs 5 foot hook shots.

Yi is quite a good midrange shooter. That is where he has a knack. I think McHale can show him a thing or two on D, blocking shots, boxing out....dropping that Ass lower

Yi has become much better than he used to be in last season. He was awarded the MVP of FIBA Asia Championship this summer. And actually he showed some domination on the court and leaded the China team with no Yao to the final champion. Though he still might not fit the rhythm of NBA games, McHale can be the key to help solve the problem.

No he isn't. But Thabeet, if he can put it together, has way more upside than Yi. Yi has a polished, if somewhat soft, offensive game and is vastly more athletic and quick than Thabeet currently. It's unfortunate because Thabeet could easily be as good, if not better, than Yi at this point in his career but we all know he either was treated like absolute crap in terms of development at Memphis or he just can't put things together.

At the moment I'd take Yi over Thabeet on an individual basis. As for what's right for the team, I'd keep Thabeet to see if we can develop him any but I'm not holding my breath.
