defenses are keeping the passing lane to Yao closed. They dont want to see what Yao can do, because now after the Dallas game they are aware of his ability to take over.
And you shot a hand-scorching 8 loads while looking at p*rn on the internet today...so? Give the guy a break, no one here and very few anywhere are as good as he is. Complaining will do no good.
i'll tell u why, the reason y is b/c u know nothing about basketball!!!!! if u didnt watch the game(m pretty positive on that ), then shut the hell up!!(dont try to blame that on steve!!!)
I'll take an 8-22 shooting anyday if the shooter is actually scoring 31 pts. I swear you must be biggest idiot on this board. If Kobe had shot 8-22 and scored 31 pts you would be licking his jock like Ahmad Rashad at an all you can eat Jordan buffet. But heaven forbid saying anything positive about a Rockets player. Do us a favor and take your hatin, bandwagoning butt to a Lakers board.
1) Re: Yao being 'marked man' and therefore not getting touches...Specious reasoning at it's best...Not that the Rockets would know anything about running an offense through a center that demands a double team, especially one who has the ability to kick it out to the open man... 2) Re: Francis getting hot...That might explain why he was taking shots late, when he was hot. But early on ( and most of the game, as his % shows ) he wasn't so hot, which would then fail to account for Yao's not getting touches. 3) Re: High post/low post...There are a miriad of ways to create low post opportunities for an athletic big man if that's what you are looking to do...Run motion and cutting, have him come off curls, have him set up early, use leg locks, run him off a high elbow screen, where he can choose to go to the left or right block depending on which way the defense adjusts...It's just a matter of wanting to..and getting him the ball when he does. 4) Re: Passing lanes...The guy is 7-5...How can defenses close off all the lanes? If they front, have him go to the hoop on 2 or 3 alley-oops...that'll stop that. If they're playing behind him, play 2 man on one side, and either the lane is open, or the guy with the ball is. It's not that difficult. This is all just a matter of priorities. 5) The real question we need to ask is this: Is Yao ready to be the focus of an offense, and are the teammates willing to do it if he is? I'm not sure if he's ready, but if not now it won't be long...and there is no, repeat, no substitute for having a center you can run your offense through, particularly with the perimeter players he'd have at his disposal, the court vision and passing he has, and the amazing basketball IQ he has already demonstrated. The other players will get in line when they realize that, if properly used, a dominant distributing/scoring big man will make their lives easier with open shots, second shots, and clear lanes to the hoop for those ESPN highlight reel plays our guys seem to live for...
Don't you realize that Yao is part of the team? Talk about Yao = talk about Rockets. No one here is saying that Yao is everything the Rockets have. So if I post a topic on G.Rice then you would also say 'I think these guys should go to grice.com'????? You better come clean and tell us if you hate Yao for some reason.
