I don't like the guy either, but he was the first one to say Lebron and T-Rex would be going to Miami to join D-Wade and no one believed him.
this. it all came from a local LA evening radio show SAS does. I was listening the night he predicted it earlier in the week. he's been dealing with the aftermath of making the simple prediction and we have threads like this one now.
I believe that just means the team cannot trade him without his approval. But if he waives the clause and demands a trade, he can be traded.
it takes about three seconds or less to ascertain the info robbie380 provided. why someone with a negative reputation would stick up for a guy who has had one thread locked and another on the verge of being locked is another mystery worth investigating though.
Basically he can pick the team he wants to get traded to and if LA gets what they want from that specific team then he will go there. The no-trade clause just assures Kobe that he will not be traded out of the blue some day and that he has the final say in when he is traded and where he is traded. IIRC, he is the only one in the league with this in his contract.
Dragic Martin and Scola for Kobe . Then sit him tank the season get a top pick draft Barnes and wait for dwight to get here. I also think that lakers roster would win it all ha. But I don't want Kobe tainting the city of Houston.
Kobe Bryant raised new objections Thursday to the Lakers' decision to trade Lamar Odom to the Dallas Mavericks for a first-round draft pick in 2012 and an $8.9 million trade exception, and he admitted wondering what their next move might be. "I'm not sure what the hell the direction is, to be honest with you," Bryant said in his first public comments since the Clippers acquired Paul. "It's none of my business to really get into. The way they go about it is, they handle their business upstairs." Bryant said he expected another move in the coming days, perhaps for Dwight Howard. "You would think," he said, still obviously troubled by the Odom deal. "There is no explanation for that. It's business and money and things like that, but still you don't send Lamar to the Mavericks. You know what I mean? That's just my opinion. “I expect them to still try to be aggressive and make moves to build a championship team. If that's the case, I'll stand out of the way and let them do what they do." Via Los Angeles Daily News Sounds really mad right now, would love to see Lakers fallin apart this year.
Kobe did this exact same thing in the 2007 off-season before they acquired Pau mid season. He was throwing everyone under the bus from Smush Parker, Andrew Bynum, to Mitch Kupchak. he sulks during press appearances letting the management know that he isn't happy. they will make another move to appease him. now the other thing SAS said was Kobe's salary goes from 25 to 27 to a whopping 30 million. thats over 80 million over the next three years. "there's a sucker born every day" were his exact words, meaning he doubts Kobe goes anywhere but wouldn't be surprised if he asked to be traded.
