Hey i'll join you guys there, if you havent already i'll make a CF guild. I'm all about the dark side though just a heads up
I won't be playing until sometime in Jan. I not crazy enough to start playing a new MMO just one week before Christmas. I used to be but not any more.
Ill join up too, just name server and what not. Doesn't matter what side more than likely rolling a Smuggler or Healer type.
Clutch Fans has a guild in Warriors of the shadow, its called Clutch Fans. Hit me on on the server my toons name is Clutch
I second this question, I was really excited for it a while back but then lost interest along the way...can anyone plz tell us if this is worth playing (and paying) to do so?
I've never played a BioWare game before, but I'm liking the companion system. I think BioWare has had this in other games and it has made it easire for me (during BETA) to complete quests solo. I never was much for grouping with random people I didn't know, so when those people stopped playing WoW I didn't enjoy it as much. I'm enjoying the storylines and companion options so far that has made this enjoyable for me, so far. ... up to Level 5 in just about a half-hour of playing
I played MassEffect 1 and hated it. I know alot of people liked that game, but it just seemed to take so long for anything to happen. I enjoyed WoW for a few months until it got old. Worth getting and playing till I get sick of it, or is it alot like ME1?
I just downloaded this today and I must say that I'm impressed. I found the quest system in WoW to be pretty boring, and I typically would just click through it to find out how many people I had to kill or how many items I had to pick up. It was just a means to get more experience to get to end of game content. SWTOR gives you the ability to customize your characters story, and whether you want to accumulate light or darkside points. I rolled a Imperial Agent and just killed a kids dad in front of him for darkside points, or I could have let him go for light side points. The story lines are 100% better than WoW so far. Hopefully I won't get addicted to another MMO, but at level 8 this game looks great.
You guys remember Origin when they actually made the best games. Ultima. Ultima 5-7 to be precise. Legit. Favorite RPG of all time!
Hey man i'm glad you like it! what server are you on? you should roll warriors of the shadow with me and NotinMyHouse. I'm waiting for some more CF'ers to join our Clutchfans guild!
I really don't like the fact that they are charging you for a digital copy + monthly. Private servers ftw!
Games like this should offer an option where if I guarantee to pay for however many months, I dont have to pay for the copy or whatever. Or something. Really really want to play it, KOTOR is one of my favorites of all time and I love Bioware, but I'm not a big MMO guy and it just seems like a huge money investment. 60 dollars plus 15 dollars a month (for just one game, I can deal with it for Xbox Live because it covers multiple games) seems ridiculously expensive for me, not to mention an extra 40 bucks for any expansions or whatever. As someone who loves KOTOR but not so much MMOs, should I bother?
Reading this thread reminds me of the original KOTOR and how great it was. Oh the good memories I made with that game during my college years.
