http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d8250d55c/Open-Locker-Room-QB-surprises Not really anything enlightening, but it was pretty funny. Also awesome to see Willis give us some love and Foster say that he loves it here!
That was awesome. It was very obvious they just wanted to shoot the bull with each other, and the talking head kept interrrupting them.
I had no idea mcgahee was gonna go to Houston. Forgive me for not being up to date on the misses/whiffs of the front office. Can anyone give me a very brief description of what happened?
From his wiki page: In 2002, McGahee, along with Ken Dorsey, Andre Johnson, Kellen Winslow II, and others led Miami to an undefeated regular season and a #1 ranking, which included a trip to the National Championship game against second ranked Ohio State. Ohio State won the game in double overtime. He was also a finalist for the Heisman Trophy, given to the nation's top player, finishing fourth in the voting (660 votes), while teammate Ken Dorsey finished 5th with 643 votes. In the early part of the fourth quarter during the 2003 Fiesta Bowl National Championship Game, McGahee suffered an injury after catching a screen pass from Dorsey. He was immediately hit by Buckeye safety Will Allen, bending his left knee backwards and causing tears of the ACL, PCL, and MCL. Prior to getting hurt, he had rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown, as Miami would lose the game in double-overtime, 31–24. This injury required several surgeries and extensive rehabilitation before he would be able to play again. At the season's end, McGahee announced he would not collect on a $2.5 million insurance policy he had taken out before the Championship game, and therefore would enter the 2003 NFL Draft.
Had he not gotten hurt during that bowl game, he would have been a very high draft pick and the Texans had the #3 pick that year. If I remember right, there was some talk that he was going to be the Texans pick at #3. I remember watching that game and seeing him get hurt and thinking to myself "well, I guess it's Plan B for the Texans..." Of course, "Plan B" ended up being some guy named....oh hell, I can't remember......oh yeah......Andre Johnson. He seems like a good guy. I'm glad everything worked out for him because, at the time, it looked like his NFL career was over before it began. I remember them showing him and his parents after the Bills drafted him and they were all crying. Very touching, considering everything he had been through to get there.
that was 5 minutes long? I only saw 30 seconds when it aired. "keep reppin' running backs. You know they like to disrespect us, man." I can already see Pancakes' next story.. 'Arian disgruntled over contract situation'
That interview actually worked really well cause it was just two NFL players talking to each other rather than a broadcaster asking each of them really leading questions. I think they should do more of that.
This is about the 1% time, I'll disagree with Uprising. ...I thought it was pretty good interaction. refreshing change from the generic type interviews,
I guess the awkward part for me was when Willis asked Arian what he thought about their team and Tebow. It was entertaining though. I enjoyed the video.
McGahee seems like a cool ass dude. I've always been a fan of his. It sucks he got inured, but it was a blessing in disguise because the Texans ended up getting the baddest man on the planet, Andre MF'in Johnson.
This is the kind of chatter that happens at Pro Bowls, which both of them have made to (different seasons of course).
LOL funny interview, mostly cuz the interviewer and the slight communication delay make it awkward as hell
I agree, I was uncomfortable watching it... no idea why the chick didn't just ask them questions, allow them both to answer, and then ask another. It seems like they were just trying to fill dead air.
Didn't think it was worth its own thread but here is the TJ the third string qb (sung like rudolph the red nosed reindeer)
