Its going to be interesting to see who we end up with after training camp, McHale talks about the "main guys" and invitees, how its not fair to the guys who have only been here a few days..

Also, McHale didn't sound to sold on Dragic. Apparently Dragic has been playing on a bad ankle so he's interested to see who ends up winning the battle at the PG spot b/w Lowry/Dragic/Flynn.

Interesting young player. Hope I get to see him play at one point...if he makes the team. But...

I can't help but stare at his front teeth.

I wasn't sold on McHale as a coach, but tv personality is always different than coach. Funny quote Mchale: "Guys were asking why were not playing 5 on 5, I said we only have 9, it wasn't the Harvard guy asking."

Sounds like the lineups are set based on the guys who have been in camp the earliest.

McHale has been refreshing this year and just tells it how it is. Interesting to hear his thoughts on scrimages that go for longer than four minutes and the conditioning of the guys leading into the season. Could be some massive upsets early until players find there legs.

You gotta love how blatantly honest the guy is. What a huge change between last years coaching staff and the current one.. I'm anxious to see how this season plays out. Only a few more days until preseason vs. Spurs!!!

Villanova fan. Vividly recall the loss to St. Mary's.

Samhan was a better offensive player than Thabeet in college, and I wouldn't be surprised if he's better now.

So the Rockets are going for a Benetton ad? Have someone from every race/country possible?

    Omar Samhan...Egypt
    Ibrahim Jaaber...Bulgaria
    Jeremy Lin...China
    Donatas Motiejūnas...Lithuania
    Hasheem Thabeet...Tanzania
    Goran Dragić...Slovenia

I'm not a fan of the hire, but I was impressed with the interview. I especially liked how he described the short training camp's affect on the young players trying to make the team, and earn minutes if they've got a spot. It is incredibly unfair. Very articulate. Guess we'll see if he can coach, but McHell's got the media aspect of his job down pat.

If McHale doesn't have the chance to see the young guys in practice, DM and the FO will do the rest with their stats and data. We should add big bodies like Samhan.

I don't remember Omar having that much personality in college :) Hopefully he sticks, I could stand rooting for him.

Yes, and I can say he cant' jump, he can't run, he can't dunk, he can't dunk, he can't rebound, he can't do anything related to basketball. What he knows is how to be a joker.
