Yates is everything Schaub isnt.. just admit we found a gem in the 5th round. next season trade schaub to a QB hungry team for high draft picks, maybe a corner...

not saying yates is tom brady...

    but

    Yates>Schaubers

No rush. Just hold an open competition in camp. Loser goes to the Redskins or something.

LOL not sure if Yates > Schuab just yet.... Schaub just combined for 9000 yards passing in 2 seasons and was on pace for another 4000 yard season, Yates has had some flashes of brilliance, but we need to see if he can continue to produce on a consistent basis and against better defenses.

So, yeah...It's very obvious the Texans are a very, very tight knit and supportive group. The even have (dare I say it?) the heart of a champion. I made the mistake of underestimating that heart (sorry, Rudy T!), and they've made me look a fool. And I've never been happier to be wrong. They just have a will to win.

    My revised prediction:

    @ JAX - W
    ATL - W
    @ CIN - W
    CAR - W
    @IND - W
    TEN - L

I think TEN will be looking for payback, and the Texans will sit as many starters as possible for as long as possible. Wouldn't surprise me if the Titans were looking to take a bunch of cheap shots and maybe even cause some injuries (they aren't above such tactics).

I'm really, REALLY effing proud of this team.

Will TJ Yates steal the ROY away from that guy in Carolina this week?

If they were, they're morons. Do people honestly think we would have been better off with Delhomme or Garcia in that situation? They're both washed up and they don't know the system. Even if we had lost I would have wanted to stick with the kid.

I didn't even think it was a contest after Sunday. TJ Yates is a winner. Newton can put up inflated stats and fantasy points, but other than that, he is just a guy that goes out and consistently loses.

TJ Yates is the best player in the NFL.

Nah...as much as a good story this is. He hasn't played in enough games to get that nod. Maybe a vote here or there but not going to happen.

It's a race between Newton and Dalton in my opinion.

Delhomme is incredible. Have you ever seen that guy pass? TJ just baerely edges him out though. Mostly due to penis speed.

half of them don't specifically call for Delomme, but no faith whatsoever in Yates.

I agree. TJ Yates wins 100% of the games he plays in.

LOL! Thanks for the links. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are people on a basketball forum that have no clue how the game of football is actually played.

A huge reason that Yates is successful is because he has been in the system since August (which includes Kubiak and his obviously brillant QB coaches)... Delhomme and Garcia would be a nightmare if we played a game (like yesterday) where the run while effective, wasn't at it's normal pace.

Even if he lost, the kid was our best shot at winning. Thus the reason Kubiak never questioned him as the starter.

TJ Yates has never not won his division since being an NFL QB ;)
