Although everyone seems to think we'll be a one and done. I truly think we can match up with any team because they all have a weakness. All the teams in the AFC have came out flat against bad teams, the Texans have lost to Ravens, Saints, and Raiders on an emotional day. They're by far one of the most complete teams out there.
Jets and Ravens scare the hell outta me from that group. I'd pretty much rather face any AFC team except those two.
We are going to struggle against teams that can stuff the run, so basically baltimore, pitt, jets, bengals...
The playoffs are going to be tough. You got Baltimore with likely home-field advantage, NE (Despite their poor defense, I'd hate to see Brady), the revitalized and scary Steelers, the NYJ defense, and Jesus.
This may have already been posted somewhere else but I didn't see it. If we win our last 3 games and finish 13-3 and the Ravens, Steelers and Patriots all win out and finish 13-3 as well, who gets the #1 seed? What are the tiebreaker rules? Obviously, it would be sweet to have a bye and home field throughout.
As always, careful what you wish for..... I know I want nothing to do with the Ravens. I don't think the Jets are that terrifying. Their 3-game revival has come on the back of 3 fading teams shutting it down for the year. Dirty Sanchez vs J-Joe. They just lost one of their starting safeties for the year. Their run game isn't what it used to be at all....meaning Dirty Sanchez has to win games for them. Their passing D is solid, but the run D is mediocre. We could do better against Cincy. I don't really want to see the Titans, simply because divisional rivals know you too well. There's always the big brother/little brother dynamic at play and a danger of upset. Oakland is crap. The Palmer trade will haunt them for years. NE is NE...but they are beatable. Washington shouldn't have been able to make it that close yesterday. That said, their west coast super attack is the last kind of scheme we want to face with this defense. Denver....WTFE. Barwin/Watt/Ninja/Thor/Cushing will break and eat Tebow like communion bread on that Sunday.
Getta agree.. Baltimore is the only team that scares me.. The aura of Ray Lewis just seems to overwhelm us when we play them....
I think the Ravens end up with the #1 seed, Patriots #2, Texans #3. That would put the Texans at home in the Wild Card round against the #6 seed (Jets, Tenn, Cincy). The Steelers probably have the #5. http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine
