While we wasted our time trying to get Gasol, Golden State just quietly swooped in and signed DeAndre Jordan for only 40 mil.

Scout on DeAndre Jordan's potential $10 mill per year offer: "Overpaid. He dunks, blocks shots and fouls a lot."

    $10 million a year is a lot.

He forces the price to go up for the Clippers though and hurts their chances at getting people later on, good business.

I didn't really want this guy because he's still unproven and for the reasons above. If we are going to overpay for someone after we acquired Pau, I rather it be for Nene or Marc Gasol. Now I would rather not sign anybody, no current free agent is worth that much money to be added to a team that is still limited in their competitive potential. What was the whole point of the lockout? Nothing has changed except Stern's massively inflated ego and power. Guys are still getting grossly overpaid

Did I mention he's only 23, with upside, and works his ass off on the court and would fit nicely with our team of other hard workers.

Still too much I believe $10 mil a year to block and rebound.

Plus I believe some statistic said he only ATTEMPTED 17 shots in the post last year...17!!!

Where is the 10 million the Warriors offered him going to come from with Scola, Martin and Dragic still on the books?

Jordan, Nene, Gasol, Dalembert, Hayes were all secondary moves Morey had planned

that's the going rate. Look at the Chandler or Perkins deals.

Trade Martin to Minny for picks. I'm more interested in Jordan's youth than anything else, and our overall lack of defense.

It remains to be seen if the Clippers will match.

He is a Restricted Free Agent and Clippers can match any offer he gets. Also our top target is Nene. The reason for the proposed trade is to clear cap space as well as get Paul Gasol to pair him up with Nene. I personally liked to see Deandre Jordan in a Rocket's uniform.

He's not in his 30s nor dos he have a history of injuries or a reconstructed knee... why would we be interested?
Yeh, i'm gettin frustrated with who we're targetting lately (and previously)...lol

He is a restricted free agent, so the Clippers can match. It's pointless.

LMAO blocking shots has almost nothing to do with defense. The best shotblockers in the league only average around 3 blocks a game. That's just 6 pts. Good paint defense requires a high bball IQ, extensive bball experience or just really good instincts. De Andre Jordan has none of those, he can't even stay long on the court cuz he fouls out in like 5 mins.

Because he'll be overpaid and won't look as good without Blake Griffin.
