As fake as the name Henry Sanchez sounds, I agree, I like this move. I also liked the Pau move because IMO, with Nene, that would have pushed us to being more competitive. Now this move pushes us the exact opposite way towards going younger and rebuilding. Either way it disallows us from keeping our mediocre team intact and picking 14th overall year in and year out.

Draft picks please!?! At this point, I think most Rockets fans are tired of this whole saga...wasting a few days of their lives thinking at least something major was happening. And, now we'd probably rather the season be thrown away and not hold on to players that would helps us get that 7th seed. Since Chuck is gone, get rid of favorite Scola and mr. efficiency while you can still get something for them. How old is Lopez? I'm ready for CLee to be our 2 for the future and PPatt can take over for Scola, so I'm sort of resigned to the fact that we might as well just get a young C in here and start rebuilding. But, I still need some way to get a high pick in next year's draft.
If Orlando will accept Scola and Martin for Dwight, then I would still prefer Pau Gasol. We can help the Lakers get him and it is essentially the same trade. Maybe we can even keep Dragic.
nah..i'll tell you what this team can do. they'll hustle their way to the 8th seed and lose in the first round. or finish 9th. either way, they're not where they need to be for this franchise to have a shot at a player they can build around. make 'er happ'n cap'n!!! let's roll!
The Lopez trade would give us a couple more trade exceptions and more cap space to sign a free agent as well.
I would do this trade over going for Gasol in a heart beat, even though he's not the rebounder we need, he is tall and stats wise he doesn't seem too bad. Plus we would be taking a lot less salary, tank next year and really have MANY pieces to rebuild with. Would be freaking awesome but seeing as how the Magic just signed JRich, no idea why they would want another SG in KMart..? Either way we get used but at least we get a serviceable F/C out of it.
