[rQUOTEr]Meanwhile, league sources say the Nets are more focused on landing free-agent big man Nene than trading for Dwight Howard. Tampering accusation, though not yet filed with league, "not a very good way to get a deal done," one person on periphery of talks said.[/rQUOTEr]

If the nets sign Nene and pursue D12, its going to be an ever wilder FA. I predict a huge 3 or 4 team to get d12 to the nets.

Fegan says the Orlando gave Howard permission to talk to three teams. New Jersey was one of them.

The Nets are one of three teams that Howard has permission to speak, but Fegan says Howard did not attend a meeting with Nets officials

This might be just wishful thinking but I wonder if Houston is one of those 3 teams. Not sure how accurate that McHale meeting with Howard report was but if it was true, maybe he does have some level of interest in Houston. Once again, might be wishful thinking but something to think about.

The Magic rescinded their allegations of the Rockets and now are only accusing the Nets. I read that the Rockets were in Miami talking to Dalembert which is why we were originally implicated.

Story to come on SI.com, but Orlando CEO Alex Martins disputes the claim of Dwight Howard's agent that permission was given to talk to teams

So after all the junk about trade tampering with NJ, it turns out the Orlando GM had given permission? What type of operation are they running down there in Orlando?

'We were gonna file for player tampering, but later we realized we said he could.' Idiots.

Magic folks might want to get on the same page here. @RicBucher reporting that Orlando GM Otis Smith said he did give permission.

I think Magic CEO will fire Otis Smith for allowing Howard to talk to other teams.

The Magic GM and Howard's agent publicly stating something the Magic CEO denies about their star being able to pursue a trade? NBA! NBA!

If it's the Lakers, we are ****ed!

This will surely end the 3 team deal I have to believe.
