I had an idea.....after seeing some of the "forced" nicknames (kinda trying too hard)..........then i though well couldn't we just call him (or his shooting) YAOTOMATIC...........i mean his shot is automatic (he's got an awesome technical side to his touches for a big man, almost like a fluid second nature). Seriously tho, tell me if you think sounds alright
I just think people have to look at what type of player he is and make the nickname fit HIM, not the other way around............cause you can give a crappy player a good nickname, but he'd still be crappy..........or in Yao's case.......a potential dominator a crappy name, but he's still gonna dominate, so why not make his name fit how he is/plays
Apocolypse Yao's pretty good, as is the Chairman. But wait! Something's coming to me. Could it beeee..... Gang of One (for those of you born after 1970, there was a very famous cultural upheaval, verging on insurrection, because of what was coined the "Gang of Four"; which included, among others, Mao's wife)
Apocalypse Yao is perfect. It has a powerful, deadly kind of connotation. Plus, there was a lot of anticipation during the countdown of him coming to the league. Countdown to the Apocalypse! The four horsemen of the Apocalypse!! Stevie Franchise The Cat MoT Griffin The nickname fits so well and it rolls off the tongue nicely. Opponents, your doomsday is near! The Apocalypse is coming!
Any thing but "Apocalypse Yao ". It's not really bad I just don't like it. No offence to everyone that does like it. I kind of like "Little or Big Brother" Ming. "Little Giant" is a nice one also. But what about a name that reflects on what the press and experts had to say about young Ming when he arrived. Something that is a constant reminder to just how wrong they were. Yao "Busta" Ming Blatz
Did you all hear Bill and Calvin last night use my recommendation 'YAO ZA' I guess its Yao Za from now on??
