For those of you who don't have the Market (Kindle Fire unrooted) , Amazon is price matching the same apps.
downloaded the ADWEX launcher. First thing I noticed that in-widget scrolling is laggy compared to the ICS launcher. being able to stretch out the desktop w/o having the google bar up top is nice. Folder organization in ADWEX is a nice addition but I can see a slight background in the text of the folder names. It also alphabetizes the apps in the folder so you can't pick which app you want to represent the folder with. I like the loop feature of ADWEX as well so you can scroll continuously through the home screens. I stuck with the ICS launcher though because of the more refined folder organization and the lack of lag with in-widget scrolling. ADWex will be a nice addition to honeycomb or gingerbread though.
Yeah, I didn't even feel the need to download ADW when I was using an ICS OMX rom for my Dinc. I'm with you though, I probably won't be using it once I get my Gnex. Anyone know of any other launchers that are good? Please don't say GOLauncher. I don't trust the GO dev team, and I will not state why.
One good thing is it allows you to "purchase" apps to be added to devices later. I share my amazon account, and we all have access to the purchased apps.
Are there any ICS roms for a Motorola Photon? I rooted my phone, but now I don't see any ROMS worth installing on it.
You answered your own question at "Motorola" lol. Sorry, the answer is no, and to do an AOSP port on a Motorola is quite a challenge. I do see there is a CM7 ROM for your phone, so there might be an unofficial CM9 (ics based) out for you.
I'm too p***y to root my phone because it voids warranty, and my phone is buggy as is. The stock launcher it came with SUCKS, will definitely check out this new launcher you guys are talking about it. Btw, Swiftkey X is awesome, I use a full keyboard regardless, but the suggestions are still great!
What's the best Root / rom? For The Evo 4g? I'm wanting to root mine to tether this winter. Haven't kept up though with whats the best one to use. My last OTA update was 2.3.3
CM7, MIUI, or OMGB/OMFGB here's the best root method if you're on the latest OTA http://revolutionary.io You can do a quick google search on how to root using that method. It took me about 7 minutes (with the rom already downloaded) to do this on a co-workers phone.
sorry for the late response. i download them all unless they are listed as a child app (coloring, stories, etc). i've only played one of the apps thus far and that's the golf game that they made available for .10. i usually get into the apps a few days or so after buying.
