[Twitter] Rockets Tamper w/ Dwight Howard?

Morey sucks.

 

Could you imagine if we made this trade for Gasol and then traded for Dwight?

That's not illegal.

We just aren't allowed to directly speak to players (Howard) who are still under contract with other teams without their consent.

Tampering would mean that we somehow communicated with Dwight outside of the knowledge of the Orlando front office.

 

i think orlando is def using this as leverage.. things are getting nasty... and would the tampering charge affect the outcome of the paul deal?

So I guess the NBA will use this charge as leverage to keep Houston from filing a lawsuit.

 

If that were to happen and the charge was bogus, I would hope Morey would resign and speak out.

Morey's future is tied to my future as a fan. Not because I think he is the greatest GM of all time, but I believe if he walks away from a job as an NBA GM it tells me what I need to know about the inner workings of the league and how it will impact the Rockets forever.

I don't get it. If we were tampering we did a ****ty job of it. Unless Morey was doing something behind the scenes to try to get Howard to come here and he picked NJ instead.

 

LOL, who cares anymore..this league is out of control. Lebron, Wade, and Bosh colluding for some time to play together on the same team, now that they formed it, Stern won't allow anyone else to copy. Flopping is emphasized as a legitimate strategy by the referees' eagerness to call ticky-tac fouls. The New Orleans Hornets have been operating for some time without an owner (how is every move they make, including setting their starting lineup not a "conflict of interest" to somebody else). The NBA was just locked out and seems like nothing changed except the fact that David Stern has more power then ever.

What a joke of a league. I'm almost content with just watching old clips on youtube of 90's basketball, when this was still a man's game.

Don't think the Rockets will be punished. They have no chance at attracting any star anyway so no harm done to Orlando.

However, Howard may be entitled to file a complaint against the Rockets for harassing him.
