I don't want Pau to come to Houston. Too old, too soft.

apparently nobody wants anybody to come to Houston, unless it's the next Jordan, and even then, who would he play with? good luck with that one y'all.

Not only is Gasol atoo old and soft, but a lot of you guys act like signing Nene brings us the second coming of Hakeem Olajuwon. Nene isn`t that good either. Lets just roll into training camp with who we have and play our hearts out, and quit all the b****ing and complaining.

I wanted Pau to come. :(

Stat wise, people think he is the same as Scola but Gasol has a greater post presence and he makes others around him better.

When we had a monster player like Yao we could have enticed mega stars this way like tmac in his prime. Now however?

Houston is not a desirable place to live for people who have money. Think about it. People want to live in Houston because of the cost of living and above average job situation. If you have millions, wouldn't you want to live in LA, NY, Miami, somewhere beautiful? That's the problem we have here.

What about Sammy Dalembart? He wants to get paid like a star. He can be Houston's next Trevor Ariza project.

**** Gasol. He doesn't deserve to wear Rockets red.

    1) Do you really want to base the next 3 years on a what if signing during this free agency?
    2) NeNe is injury prone, and overpaid. Do.not.want.

In terms of a sports city, Houston is not the place to be.

    BUT

If you can draft ONE superstar, the rest will follow. Especially if its a potential hall of fame caliber player (insert Yao Ming pre-injuries).

Two peaks....One was 2005 when the Rockets were leading Dallas 2-0 and had a killer defense. And the other was 2008 when the Rockets were on the verge of beating the Lakers and I could make a case that it was a series for the championship of the NBA...and Brittle Yao killed that.

When you don't have anyone to join, nobody wants to come to that city.

Who has just as bad a sports base as Houston? Miami. But, they got WADE. And that attracted stars to the team. We had YAO, that brought T-Mac, and later Artest. Olajuwon brought Drexler, Barkley, Pippen. You need a reason to come to Houston or any city. '

Be realistic. We have a scrappy team. But what will that get you? 42 wins? Draft a Yao, Olajuwon, Wade or build up Houston to be NYC...you get the stars here.

Gasol didn't attract any superstars to Memphis. How is Houston much different?

Personally if I were a star and I saw our rotation of scrappy, hard working players I'd come here in a heartbeat. What really good player wouldn't want to play with guys like Lowry and Scola??

I guess the fact that close to 20% of the NBA lives in Houston means nothing... The reason it is perceived that no one wants to play in Houston is because there are no star players. When Olajuwon was on the Rockets players were quite happy to be dealt to Houston.
