    Here's a question for the Chinese members of the board out there: Was there any coverage of Charles Barkley's bet (and it's payoff) in the Chinese media? What was the reaction?

    I am from Yao Ming's hometown, Shanghai. IMHO, nobody really cares about the media's aversion against Yao Ming, coz if you really had a chance to goto see how he ROCK&ROW in the CBA game once ever in Shanghai, you will not forget him; In some sense, he is really a gift from the god;

    I have checked with my friends in shanghai several weeks ago on an alumni's forum. They told me that they were pretty sure Yao Ming is going to bring big big difference to the ROCKETS. At that time, however, Yao Ming just missed one slam in the game and got nothing after the final.

    Yao Ming did really a good job , not only in the game, but also outside. Just notice how he reacted to those doubts and aversions all the time recently.

    A real gentleman, but a monster under the basket.

    Well, I start to think ruirui can't speak English.

    Anyway, I think its a good idea if some major papers in Shanghai can do a story of YaoMing and all star voting. :D :D
