why are the lakers involved? Alll of the Players going to the Hornets are from the Rockets. We could have gotten Cp3 our damn selves.
Clearly missing the point. We have cap flexibility while adding a top 15 player (per ESPN).. one of the best at his position. An All-Star caliber player. Locked up for the next 4 years. Had his second best season last year. With that money. We weren't going to get Paul to begin with. He didn't want to play for us. Dwight Howard supposedly wanted to be partnered with CP3. Morey saw right through that even while trying to attempt to get CP3. He held out hope to make the team better. He probably viewed this as the next best option too upgrading the team. If we add a NENE, Marc Gasol... It gives us height which we have lacked for a while... We also make ourselves appealing to free agents now. "Hey D-Will, how would you like to play for the rockets. We have Gasol." That's really all you have to say to at least gain some interest. Morey, i would like to applaud you for making the best situation out of merely a mediocre team who couldn't get itself out of the lottery.

amnesty thabeet. get $18M under the cap. make big offer to marc gasol. pair gasol's = win. nene would be good too. third option is save money for the summer and go for dwight (if he's not a laker by then) or deron. last resort, save cap space for 2013 and go after blake griffin.
The only way it makes sense is if Navarro would buyout his contract and come to the Rockets. If that is the plan, then I will give Morey all the kudos because the Rockets will be within striking distance of an NBA title.
Too bad this is the NBA and not the NFL because CP3 would just bolt and say 'Sorry bout your damn luck' and play in LA/NYC any ways.
