the trade is good for the rockets of course i think Lee is better to have as a starting 2 guard than martin and i love scola but gasol is easily the better player than him... dragic isnt a deal breaker i guess flynn is there now to be a backup but rather have flynn in the deal than dragic my concern is that we shouldnt be giving up any draft picks in this deal we have some good 2012 picks and I would want to keep them as part of the rebuild process. lowry/lee/gasol i would rather start than lowry/martin/scola

Odom to NO? Oh no! If there is in fact another deal contingent on Pau signing, say Nene agrees with us, does that mean 2012 big splash attempt is cashed in for this trade? So no more hope of trying to sign a superstar? Lowry/Flynn Lee/Williams Budinger/Morris Pau/Patterson Nene/Hayes? Losing Dragic hurts our depth. Hopefully Flynn is over his surgery and returns to his rookie form

I have some trepidation about this trade but at least Gasol is a two way player. He is a better rebounder than we have had for a long time and he can protect the rim as a shot blocker. Gasol is probably very much a Kevin McHale type of player. He's about the same age as Scola. Losing KMart is going to hurt though. I'll need to think on this before I judge it but my initial reaction was not positive towards the trade thats for sure. Martin + Scola is a lot.
Bottomline: It ain't easy getting a decent 7 footer and Pau is far more than just decent. I trust Morey to find the next Kevin Martin and the next Luis Scola more than I trust him to find the next Pau.

Dragic was one of the worst players of EuroBasket 2011. he was one of the worst players of the ACB and Euroleague this year also. He is dead weight and the Rockets are lucky if they can dump him.
