Marcus Morris is like Melo, but with defense.

Anyone who thinks any player on this team is untouchable is just being sentimental.

Besides not wanting to see our favorite players in different uniforms, what exactly are we clinging to?

Literally no one in the "can't trade pile"

I'd be slow to move Martin (as part of a package) without a blockbuster return, I wouldn't move Lowry without a good PG coming back, but beyond that.....

It's simple in this league: true stars and centers are invaluable, non-stars are disposable and easily replaced.

Patterson is nice, and developing, but he's not a star.

Trade Les Alexander and future cash considerations for the rights to Mark Cuban.

If I had to choose, it would be between Patterson and Lee. They are both super athletic, TWO-WAY players!

I'd be okay if we traded him. His visions haven't exactly led to any real success (deep playoff run).

Keep Lowry. Too good of a player at that price.

I agree with OP. Morey has to think twice before trading away high potential young guns.

When Lakers traded Shaq to Miami, they asked for Dwade in return. Dwade by then just finished a promising rookie season, but was nowhere near an allstar level yet(although he exploded to a superstar right after). Miami insists keeping Dwade or no deal.

When Boston put the whole team on the table for the big3, they resisted trading the rookie Rondo.

In my view Miami made a mistake last year to get rid of Beasley. They could just join Lebron and Wade and keep Beasley. Then they would have enough cap space to add a couple more valuable role players to form a better team.

Unless it's DWH, I wouldn't trade away Patterson who may have the upside to be Carl Malone type of player.

I understand your reasoning; however, is C. Lee potentially a shooting guard you can build around?

I think Patterson can be a good to great contributor to a championship team on both ends 2-3 years from today.

I don't see Patterson as a guy you can build around either. With Lee, he seems like a super role player. If we were to get a superstar, Lee would compliment them very well. While i would love to keep Martin, I feel Martin is expendable because of Lee. Lee can knock down the open jay, slash to the basket, handle the ball and is also a great defender. He's a guy championship teams need. There's a reason the Bulls wanted him so much.

I didn't mean to imply that Patterson was a guy to build around. Sorry if it came out that way.

I just see Patterson as a guy with way more upside than his draft number suggests. Lee, is what you get. Although, I can see playing on a championship team, I don't see him being a key contributor, whereas Patterson I do (2-3 years from today).

Clutch: I hope the Rockets trade partners have similar thoughts about Motiejunas.

Same here, obviously I'd trade anyone of these guys for an upgrade, but I think our rookies and sophmores have a lot of potential.

    1) Pat
    2) Kyle
    3) Lee - but I think he'll bail on us next year so I'd be listening for the right offer.
