I've been there since the end of season one. I cried after Donna's death. Yeah I CRIED. I said it. Then I realized the only other entertainment that has ever made me cry before was Marley and Me. **** that movie.
Couldn't understand him... what did Jax say to Tig walking up to the table at the end? Edit: "You're there brother." ? Should have ended with Jax hitting the gavel.
I don't know. Seems a bit unsatisfying. The whole Potter storyline with Juice was dismissed just like that and ended up pretty much a whole bag of nothing. This season has been great. Kinda odd that the finale wasn't as good as the season as a whole.
So disappointed in this episode. What a lazy cop out by Sutter. Good call about Romeo, Grendal. The only thing that can save this show for me is if someone real fierce is cast as Damon Pope next season.
I'm conflicted. It was uneventful yet tied up all the loose ends and ended beautifully. I'm on edge waiting for next season so I guess it did its job. Not sure what Jax said to Tigg either.
Interesting ending. It did more to set up next season than to end this one. I thought that the resolution was a bit . .uhm . . convenient. Still waiting to see what happens with Ope Spoiler The demotion of Clay is also a demotion for Tigg. I think Tigg was like Sargent at Arms. He was at Clay's right hand [the seat right next to the President]. That position is now Chibb's. Meaning Tigg is just a regular member now Rocket River
Tig gave up his Sgt at Arms patch after he saw the beating Clay gave Gemma. I took it just to be a reminder from Jax. Though I did get the impression that his question to Chibbs was an indication that the role was falling to Chibbs. I just couldn't figure out what his actual comment was to Tig.
I'm not entirely sure what to think. I agree here that it tied up many of the loose ends and sets up next season with Damon Pope. Considering the intensity of every episode this season, it was a bit of a letdown. That said, I still think it was awesome in its own way. Might be one of my favorite seasons of a show ever. I wait in anticipation for season 5.
Kind of what i expected, they found a way to "work things out"....Although i did expect some kind of violence, but instead we get Happy smiling Weird  Yeah i agree it sets up a battle next season against Pope. I wonder who will play him....Ving Rhames? And yeah, Tigg can't be there next to Jax because his loyalty is with Clay...too risky for Jax. So i take it there were no bullet holes inside? no damage? Kind of a weak cover up of that incident...
I can't say I disliked it but it was all so tidy, like somebody mentioned above the whole Potter proved to be pointless.
i have absolutely no desire to watch a season with a backstory of tara v. gemma. but whatever...hopefully the pope storyline will be awesome.
disappointing, it could have ended last episode and started this way next season with the actual introduction of pope
Spoiler I hated how they ended the Potter investigation. All that build up, and the club never even knew who he was except for Juice. Just wrote it off. The one thing I did like about Potter was his redemption. You see he really does believe in good with giving Roosevelt the Juice file and the sex toy dumping. All the manipulation was for a cause, not just to be demented like Stahl. I thought his character was uninteresting until last night. I also like how the Juice thing ended with Roosevelt. Let me chase you for crimes, not for being black. He still killed a brother while selling out the club. That will come out later. I thought the ending was soooo boring. All that talk about Jax and Tara leaving for nothing. I didn't like was the fact I was never really wondering if Clay was going to die, if the Sons were going to get RICO'd, if Juice was going to get found out by the club, if Tara and Jax were leaving . . . I was wondering how the hell Sutter was going to write himself out of the hole he dug. He did it in one twist with Romeo working with CIA. It wrapped up all the following storylines that were cliffhangers: Will Jax kill Clay? (They need him alive for the deal) Will Opie kill Clay (Jax needs him to trust him on this) Will Tara get assasinated? (they were going to put her in protective custody) Will Juice get murdered by club? (Turns out Potter is nice) Will club all get arrested? (Turns out the government wants them to be bad) Will Jax leave? (No or everybody gets arrested) I thought it was good writing, but the fact I was waiting for a twist instead of being surpirsed disappointed me. At the end of season 3, I really had no idea if Jax had ratted or not. When he let out that smile in the prison van, I cannot remember a more exciting moment of television for me. So now that they have set up beef with the most dangerous gangster in Oakland, I guess we go back to Charming problems more so than cartel stuff. They wrap it up in the first few episodes with Irish/Cartel in season 5 and back to good ol Niner/Mayan beef. I had a bet with a coworker that no regular character would die. I win. I wish I hadn't. The ending was so blah. I don't want Jax as president. I have never seen Breaking Bad, but I have heard the most interesting dynamic of the show is how the main character morphs over time. At first he is making drugs to support his family, and as the seasons go on, you are not sure if he is really doing it for good, or if even he IS good. I wonder if they explore this with Jax. It's easy to stand up to the power, but what happens when you have the power? I think this dynamic would alter the dynamics of the show, maybe keeping you guessing more. Might be cool. Would Tara become the new Gemma? Anyways. I love this show. As disappointed as I am with the anti-climax the finale was, I cannot wait until next September.
Jax told Tigg not to go commando. Tigg was proving unstable. I hope they explore that more next season. Tigg is such a great character. He is the hardest soft guy ever. When his daughter came early in the season, the thing with Kozik, his neediness towards Clay . . .
Good interview with Kurt Sutter on season 4. I should mention that I was probably one of the very few that actually liked the ending of the Soprano's. I have no problem with the way it ended last night. Lots still open for next year and it's clear in this interview that Sutter doesn't yet know exactly where he's going.
