Did anyone notice that last night we actually lost on Moochie. I have seen 3-4 plays where Mavs either posted up against him or penetrate through him. He had no defense. On offense he often broke the play. I can see that he is trying his best changing the play style, but he has problem fitting this team. I can understand it was not Rudy's fault to play him, as he had to give Steve or Mobley a breather, and he was supposed to be the bakup PG. Too bad we can not dump him, like we did on Baloney. Since we had some good chips like KT on forward spots, is it possible we can get another backup PG? On Mobley, I think he is getting better in terms of court decision. He rarely jacks up bad shot like he used to, and he passed a whole lot more these days. All in all, Rockets play style has improved a lot and it takes some time for them to mature and get better. They just need to fine-tune a little, and backup PG might be a spot we need to look at.
That idea pissed off me more. How could we make a trade? Which team want him? I have to package him with a good player.
In Clutch's recap he said that Cat fouled Najara at the end of the half but TNT showed that it was Moochie. Moochie has just not played very well at all this year. KT had a third bad game and Cat just has not looked right all year.
Moochie is not playing well, and his style of dribbling and passing at the last second does not fit into the pass & cut oriented offense that the Rocks are running. DaDakota
The fact KT, Cat, and Moochie have not posted good numbers this year does not bother me. In fact, from another standpoint, it maybe a progress that Rockets have made for this season. I am tired of seeing Moochie getting 19 pts, KT getting 17 PTs and such and we lost games. We just can not build our team with these guys. In my opinion, KT and Cat can be very good supporting casts on this team, if they choose to. However, I do not see the future on Moochie, at least not at this moment. May be the role change hurt him too much, that he does not fit NBA play any more. I would rather see that I am wrong with this opinion, and I hope that Moochie prove that I am wrong. But, at this moment, the backup PG is a glaring weak spot on this team. Last year when they were negociating with Moochie, I was hoping that we stick with 1.5 million price tag, or just get the other guy. When they annonced the 3 million/yr (instead of 2 million/yr that they were argueing), I felt very confused. I just did not know why why why the Rockets made such a dumb move. It puts us into another Moloney situation, althought Moochie is better than Baloney. We are still paying him 2 m/yr right?
What the KCUF goes through Moochies head? He is a little too vain and too concerned about his hair for the skills he has.
While we are dogging a second string point guard , who hit 2-4 and dished out 4 assists in 19 min, the rest of the world is talking about Yao and how impressed they are with the Houston Rockets,.....
