You guys think this guy will finally be 'released' onto the court this season?

Not unless he wises up and learns how to be a professional.

He isn't an off the court problem and hasn't left the bench in the 3rd quarter headed to the locker room on his own.

If he can allow the game to come to him he will get his chances I believe. New coach will give him his shot.

Hopefully, the sets when the game doesn't come to him he won't be trying to steal the ball from Dragic, again.

100% chance @TheRealTWill will play more than he did last year regardless of attitude, skill, poorness, hunger or drive.

So following your logic you shouldn't be allowed to post here either, am I right?
You're basing all your assumptions on rumors that he has poor character, etc. You don't know him, you don't have a personal relationship with him, come on man. People aren't always what they seem.

If this happens, what position would be play? PG? Nope -- Lowry, Dragic and Flynn are entrenched. SG? Nope -- Martin and Lee are entrenched there? SF? Aside from the fact that he can't shoot with accuracy until within 12 feet of the basket and being only 6-5, Bud and Morris are solid there. PF? We are logjammed there. Center? He's strong but not as strong as Hayes nor as tall as Thabeet.

Terrence must keep his fingers crossed for a trade if he wants more playing time -- either on the Rockets or another team.

Perfect storm for the fellow: first camp with his new team + a new coach (and frankly lowered expectations for both him and his team). This is a formula for success. Or abject failure.

    I choose to expect success.

He will definitely play more than MM, only because it will kick up his trade value if he plays at a high level and it will allow us to see what he has in a shortened season.

Plus rookies always seem to get burried on the bench for the Rockets.

Bud and T-Will with split minutes. Morris only going in once in a while until he develops consistency.

Or TWill can play better than these guys. CBud, Morris, Dragic, Lee, these aren't stars. If TWill truly worked on his game over the summer and comes into camp having correct his shooting woes and selfish nature, then he can simply perform better than our current backups.

I'm not holding my breath, quite frankly. I think he's a failure and will be gone at latest by end of the season. But if he turned it around then that would be how he gets minutes.

With three back-to-backs. Everyone will need to play in those games.

I wouldn't go as far as to say he's a failure... the guy averaged a triple double in the DLeague, and put on monster numbers for NJ the second half of his rookie season. I think he might have a maturity problem, but with the right coaching staff and personell around him, that can be easily fixed. The guy has star potential, as Houston fans lets just hope he can even begin to tap into it.

Dont underestimate McHale's ability to be a stickler with attitude and locker room problems. McHale is oldschool and even though he can relate to the players more than most coaches, he will most likely put his foot down on any off the court issues.

TWill had numerous issues off the court and with both of his coaches last season that led to his demise on the court.

Unfortunately, Terrence's off the court issues are not the only problem. In limited time last year he showed no interest in playing team basketball, and often blew plays run in Adelman's system. I expect McHale will not allow Terrence to blow plays and especially take plays off on defense despite his athletic ability.

Im a firm believer that humans do not change completely, but they can better themselves continually. I predict TWill will be a better player this year and teamate, but can he change his style of play and attitude completely.... highly doubtful. I do not see him as a Rocket after this season unfortunately. I sure hope Im wrong though. This guy is by far the best athlete on the team. He just doesnt have it in him to be a very good NBA role player. Which is what he has to be to get playing time in this league.

The more he plays , the less ping pong balls for the upcoming draft..... and vice versa.... Either way , he's detrimental to our teams succes

I disagree, it is a very short camp, I think he will do what he always does, get frustrated and start whining on twitter.

With TWill it is always someone else's fault he is not playing, maybe if he looked in the mirror and took responsibility and actually improved his weaknesses, like shooting, he would get on the court.

But as long as it is Avery's fault, or Rick Adelman's fault or any other coaches fault, he will be getting splinters in his butt.

If T-Will comes correct, he will play more minutes than Bud.

Not a chance, Bud is a pro, a guy that knows his place, and always plays within himself.

Coaches love guys like that......you know what coaches don't like? Guys who think they are GREAT when they really aren't.....
