Textfiles are updated. And lest you consider textfiles extraneous, it was Lincoln City's elite Textfile Scouting Unit that scooped Simon Ross from Everton, and he has tickled the twine 7 times, as well as setting up 4 other goals, in only 8 games as a starter and 6 as a sub, at the tender young age of 22. Textfiles are the key to victory, its not a question of if I will get another talented youngster from the textfiles this offseason, but who it will be. With my new board backing me for a title challenge, the sky is the limits for the Lincoln City Red Imps. Also - haven, you have M'boro, they suck, but you have a lot of money, you should probably spend it. And finally, congrats to DV for getting the Tottenham job.
Textfiles updated. Transfer deadline passes at the of friday this week (4 days). With that in mind, available Mansfield players: Goalkeepers: None. Well if you really want and need one, Antii Niemi - still International for Finland at the age of 37. Defenders: Martjin Kuiper - played 32 games last season and averaged 7.08. Out of the rotation this year, so he has been transfer listed. Could really help a team in need of a defender, starter for sure in first division, good depth in the premiership, even for me, but I have brought in a couple of other guys. 400k should be sufficient for him. (625k value) Alan Neilson - Welsh International, going out of a contract, could be had for free. Still good quality despite his age. (37) Philip Bardsley - going out of contract. Did good in the off season for me, but have no hope for any playing time. If anyone wants to chance it, he is there for the taking. Richard Hinds - also going out of a contract but is injured for the season. He could also provide useful as a defensive midfielder. Midfielders: Dan Rownham - yeah, you see right. My fav prospect is now available. He is even listed. If you ever need someone to take a penalty he has iron nerves and is an excellent option. Averaged above 6.80 for the time he has been allowed at the right wing the last two seasons in the premier. 750k is a bargain for this player, valued at 1.5M Jordan Hall - excellent left winger, not listed, but I would let him go for value (1.3M) Sean McClare - can be had for free. Still doing good for my reserves, but have not seen first team action for some time now. Attackers: Paul Wheatcroft - can help NOW. Leaving on a Bosman, so he can also be had for free for next year, but give me something for him, and he will help any first division team now! Graeme Porter - probably also a good option - listed at 1.7M can be had for about 850k. Last season in the first division he scored 14 with 8 assist and a 7.38 average. That quality is still there, but not enough to play premier league ball. (listed) Peter Weatherston - notorious scorer - until he came to Mansfield, just check old textfiles. Averaging just under 7 in the premiership, but has a harder time to find the net at this level. Should be a good addition for first division teams. Value 1.8M, can be had for around 1.2M. (listed) Alex Revell - not listed but could be had if I get a good offer for him. Valued at 3.3M Andrew Martin - not listed, but could be had for value. -------- So for those in the need of better players or depth - remember to let me know. Either here or in chat before we pass the deadline. Some also need to check their contracts.
Ian Stonebridge is in the same situation as Heath's Wheatcroft - decided to leave on a Bosman at the end of the year, but if you give me something for him you can have him now.
Textfiles have been updated. There are a number of interesting races going down to the wire. Palace have just clinched promotion to the EPL, congrats Cat. West Ham have been fighting for their lives, and Shaun Berry has been huge down the stretch scoring the only goal in the Hammers 1-nil victory over relegation opponents Swansea. Final Games : Millwall vs West Ham Cardiff vs Sunderland Fulham vs Leicester Swansea vs Aston Villa West Ham needs to beat Millwall, then watch the scoreboard. There needs to be a result in the Cardiff/Sunderland(i.e. NO DRAW), and then either Leicester or Swansea to drop a game to win to safety. Up in the major leagues, Lincoln appear to have been nearly eliminated from the title chase, but still have an outside shot. They do seem to have tickets to European competition sewn up though. Forest and Chelsea appear to have sewn up both UEFA slots left, with Forest all but eliminated from Champions League play by a hard-fought 1-1 away draw vs Liverpool; but that's by no means secure as right behind them Tottenham, Cheltenham and Bradford are clawing and scratching for the final UEFA slot, and perhaps a spot in the Inter-Toto.
Wimbledon receive £1.4M for finishing 4th in the First Division. Crystal Palace receive £1.6M for finishing 2nd in the First Division.
An exciting season in the English Premier League concluded with an exciting action of football for fans across the Isles. Lincoln City dominated the Everton Toffees in a 2-nil victory to secure third place in the EPL, and a spot in the Champions League next season. Champions League : Leeds United Manchester United Lincoln City Red Imps Chelsea UEFA Cup : Newcastle(won both FA and League Cup) Tottenham Nottingham Forest Inter-Toto : Liverpool or Cheltenham Prize Money Lincoln City : 4.5M Tottenham : 4M Nottingham Forest : 3.8M Cheltenham : 3.3M Mansfield : 3M M'Boro : 2.8M
Started to update season stuff for the site. Manchester City got the last promotion spot from first division by beating millwall in a penalty shootout. So Castor, what now? Will you reconsider taking a premiership team? Manchester City need you Or you could always take over haven's Middlesbrough as I hear he is stepping down as manager due to lack of time.
Well I wanted to take City but I did not want to take a prem. team I wanted to promote there. So I will re evaluate the D1 teams and see who I want.
Ok I have made my decision: Manager Name: Holden Magroin Nationality: Irish Team to control: Aston Villa As my first order of business I would request that you go into the editor and change that ugly nasty Pinkish Purple and Blue color scheme to White and Green. With White being the primary color. Second, please transfer list the folowing players: YunLong Dokos Venetis Thatcher Keenan they can be had at value but if you can get a little more for them do so. Thirdly, I want to offer a contract to Paul Ward, that is if he is still UNH about his current one. CK
I dont think that is possible, and even if it was... were talking about Aston Villa - it is their colors. And you get the coolest away or third set ever according to some. But as I said, or meant to say. I think colors have to be edited pre-game.
Also, since this is 2010, this means its also the year for the Biggest Sporting Event in the World - the World Cup, which is being held in Argentina this year. Numerous players from human controlled teams will be making the trip to play for their National Teams.
