He had no official shot attempts. He shot once and was fouled.

Najera did a good job guarding him... but Francis did a good job taking him out of the game, too. There were a few times when he was open on the block... asking for the ball... and Francis ignored him.

When someone is 10-12 from the field...find a way to give him the damned ball. I know steve likes being The Man.. but tonight, Ming was.

Yeah, IMO Najera did do a good job defending Yao. He was able to front Yao and make Yao alter position inside.

Najera played OK, not good. He couldnt stop Yao, who is at least 10 inches taller. How effective do you think a 6' 2" could front a 7 footer. Just space out the offense and lob the ball to the big man. We didnt do that tonight. Rudy suk.

He did a good job of using leverage to keep Yao out of he paint near he basket. Francis really should have given it to him more - counted several times when he was definitely open... but give Najera credit, he played better on Yao than anybody else.

Of course, he should have fouled out... but still ;).

We didn't get the ball to Yao in the fourth quarter, simple as that. Yao had troubles guarding Naheja because of the miss match in size, but do you think Naheja has a chance to guard Ming if we actually get him the ball? We need to understand there is something called lob pass. They tightened up their inside D in the second half and no one on the Rockets except Rice can make an outside shot. We shot outselves in the foot and that's why we lost.

Najera is the type of player the rockets need. a person who hustles and doesnt demand the ball. Also didnt the rockets originally draft Najera and trade him for Dan LANGHI!!!!!!!!!

In the 4th quarter, the Mavs did a good job of clogging up the middle. They altered their defense to guard Yao more efficiently. In doing so, they gave our shooters more of an opportunity to score. Unfortunately, our boys were not hitting the outside shot tonight.

Yes, we picked Najera FIRST, then traded him for a lower pick Langhi. I thought it was stupid at the time, and now it looks real bad. But not every move pans out.

One of the worst trades we've made. We sure could use someone like Najera... man Najera plays hard. He was making me  when he was trying to strip the ball and ended up slapping everyone and the stupid refs weren't calling the fouls:confused:

The guy is a hacker. He seems to poke everyone in the eye. But gotta love his hustle. Yao would have eaten him alive, if Yao actually got the ball. Najera did what he was suppose to do, front the big guy, but no one lobbed him the ball. Rudy will need to work on that since everone knows Yao can play now.

Gotta give Najera credit. He was working his tail off tonight. But, I feel that in about 3 years, I will have the same hatred for him as I do for Stockton/Malone. Najera was getting on my nerves and if he continues that B.S., he will make my Sh*t list.
