Rudy didn't want him to pick up a touch foul in the final seconds, he knew that the mavs would attack him. That means he is trying to keep Ming in the game.

i couldn't watch the first quarter and beginning of second qtr, so i had to listen on the radio. but even from listening on the radio, it was obvious that there was only one reason, a big 7'5" reason, that we weren't blown out of the building in the first qtr. yao ming to the rescue off the bench!

man... i'm still in shock, in a good way, and my voice is hoarse from so much primal screaming.

rip their hearts out, big yao!

    Two things:

    1. Does Rudy stick with the line up that got us into the game or does he go back to that crap that started the game?

    2. Why not let Yao shoot the technicals?

11 first half assists, and nobody has more than 2. That's good ball movement, a very good sign.

On Yao, he may or may not be a great defender or rebounder, but I don't think there is any question he will be an amazing offensive player.

oh my god...i am losing my mind watching yao. i keep thinking this is too good to be true. he is amazing. i can't believe he is doing this much. imagine him when he gets even more experience it will be insane. i've never been one of these spaz posters who react off of one game or 20 mins, but i am right now. he is just dominating the paint. i wonder what kind of defenses people will come up with to try to defense him. right now he looks absolutely indefensible. god if ming could learn to dominate the defensive paint like he does on offense we could have a hall of famer

In the first half, Ming scored and rebounded as much as Dirk and Michael combined even though he had less than any one of their minutes. Also, he will get a double-double for sure. And he will have Bradley FO in the fourth quarter.

    But he needs a breather.

    :) :p

The starting lineup needs to step up...

    Yao is carring the team...

...or else, the Mavs, the TEAM, will beat us.

Totally agree, Yao needs a break. The Rockets other players need to get involved too, sittin' around and watching a little too much right now.

Well, other than Francis. He never just watches.
