Georgia Business Declares New Company Policy: ‘We Are Not Hiring Until Obama Is Gone’

A business owner in western Georgia instituted a new company policy recently: “We are not hiring until Obama is gone.”

Bill Looman, who owns U.S. Cranes, LLC in Waco, Georgia, explained that while “I’ve got people that I want to hire now,” he didn’t think he would be able to foot the expense “unless some things change in D.C.”

Not content to simply implement the new policy internally, Looman decided to plaster it on all his company’s trucks. He did so, as 11Alive noted, “for all to see as the trucks roll up and down roads, highways and interstates.”

The crazy things people do. FWIW, he is getting his company name out there by doing this.

So in Penn State. I'm just saying. Disagree that all publicity (e.g. "pedophiles welcome!" or this thread's more mundane, "I'm an idiot!") is good publicity.

So this begs the question; are any other republican business owners out there basing their hiring on who's in the White House?

I mean full disclosure...just so we know...what kind of business acumen you may have.

Eh, this guy is located in a rural town in western Georgia. I'm pretty sure this is the best kind of publicity he could possibly have. In fact, I'd bet that he's easily pulling in more business after this news release.

Of course, not enough to hire new employees...

Is this a joke? Of course there are. There are whole sectors of the economy waiting this out. One of the biggest would have to be the oil/gas companies. Beyond the moratorium in the gulf of mexico most of the big refining and production jobs are being done over seas right now. Brazil, Russia, Columbia, Australia, Canada all have huge job producing, money making projects going on. Most of the majors are playing a wait and see approach to spending money domestically. Too many regulations to deal with. The Keystone pipeline job is a perfect example of game the administration is playing.

That's interesting since a lot of the opposition came from those very liberal states of Nebraska and Kansas.

That would be ironic if he got more business but couldn't expand his business because of his pledge.

Assuming he reads, it's pretty easy to guess what his favorite book is.

Dislike of President does not equal Pedophilia.

60% (Just guessing this number) of people in Georgia voted against Obama last election. I'd guess 40% of Georgia would like this on their facebook page.
