Charity games are not quite the level. It's not a basketball, it's not a streetball, it's a garbage IMO

I didn't say they were a true measure of a player's worth, but Lowry is approaching these games as if it were the real thing. That's the kind of intensity and desire I want from my starting PG. We know that as long as he is physically able to step out on the court, he's going to give it all he's got. And my entire argument is that all he's got is better than what Rubio has or will ever have.

One of Lowry's biggest strengths is that he plays hard all the time same as Scola etc....

That helps them succeed more often than others who sluff off during the regular season.

However, during the playoffs, when everyone is playing to their maximum talent level, those players generally drop in production significantly.

Not saying that will happen, but I think it might be a concern, talent ulitimately wins when talent is working hard.

THANK GOD the Rockets did not get him. Widely considered the worst rotation point guard in Euroleague.

A guy that can't shoot, can't score, can't finish around the rim with any contact, can't properly run a half court offense, can't properly run a set play, and uses a hacking style of defense will be a "great NBA player"...............

You are right, and Rafer Alston is also the best PG in Rockets history.

Lowry is not overrated. He is the best all around player on the Rockets right now.

Good in terms of effort and ball pressure, anticipation, length, and getting steals.

Poor in terms of strength, lateral movement, and the fact that his defensive style involves a lot of hand checking, which is not allowed in the NBA.

Overall, he's a good defender, except he is slow laterally. But it's not anything that bad. He's better than most NBA point guards on defense. That's not his problem.

It's his offense (other than passing) that is so anemic.

Why don't we come up with a bet on this? Don't know how to define performance but we need a bet that says if I win I control how often you can post and if you win you can control how much I post. What kind of performance bet do you want to make about Rubio, OHMSS?

You have been claiming for years that he would be one of the greatest of all time NBA point guards. I would not be calling people out for bets on this if I were you.

    Let it go.

Yeah, all the people that never once say him actually play a game in Europe. Like the ones thinking he is a good player.

Yes, I have said he is going to be a great point guard. I said the top two point guards of his draft were him and Steph Curry. People were dogging out Steph too. Look what happened. I am being very open and very firm about Rubio. Barring injury, he is going to be a game maker, game changer, game controller, game decider and game winner. I've seen enough of his game to know he has the "it" factor, he sees and plays the game on a different level from all but the elite class of players from Kobe going back through MJ, Magic, and Bird. He will average close to 10 assists per game in his rookie season and will only get better from there.

I've watched a lot of basketball in my lifetime, on top of playing the game in my younger days. I know when I see greatness. Rubio will be great.

How often do you watch full European games? Cause there's no way you'd say that watching Rubio regularly for the last 4 years.

Euro ball is no indicator of how they will perform in the NBA, particularly at PG.
