We've been talking to LAC for the last year about Drew coming there in some combination. It's very possible, that even though they did get a couple rookies, they still want Drew, since he's a couple years farther along. They are cheap, and don't want salaries, so since they are under the cap, they might want to make a simple trade of Drew for Mo.

LAC just might do a sign and trade of Taylor for 5 mil for Drew. They won't want to give Taylor the max, and even though Taylor turned down 6 mil in Canada, 5 mil down here is worth more in terms of taxes, endorsements, etc.

They might also want KT for their PF position, as well. Of course, if there was some way we could get Kandi and Maggette, and even a draft pick somehow out of the deal, I wouldn't mind us losing Cato too. But it wouldn't surprise me if they would just take Drew, so they don't end up getting stuck with nothing, but don't take on much salary. I'm not sure where they are in terms of the cap, but if we got anywhere close to it, the exception could solve any problems.

    Lil Francis-

My sentiments exactly. Was there ever not a good time to trade Drew? He's been dead weight for a long time.

I know his cousin by the way... he's never introduced me to Bryce, but he tried getting me some tickets once...it never panned out. [IMG]

I agree with all you guys about unloading Drew. Drew freaking SUCKS. But oh no. There seems to be so many Drew supporters it is not funny. Drew just needs to start to show his true ability. Guys wake up. He is our third string point guard. How in the world is he going to become a starter? I just don't see it. Drew does not have the defensive ability to be a NBA starting point guard. The best that Drew will become is a back-up second or third string point guard.

The guy flat out sucks. Any reason why we still have this guy on our team. There are always excuses for this guy. He is hurt, or he needs to start. It just makes me sick.

The guy was a waste of 1st round draft pick. It's way past time to cut our loses and move on.

He doesn't seem to be all that bad a starter. The Clips most likely would sign and trade Mo for him.

Astrorocket: Exactly! Drew is a much better starter than a sub. For whatever reason, some players just aren't good in being injected into a game at any point-they need to establish a rhythm. Other players perform much better off the bench (I think Mobley is one of these, actually). If you've actually *watched* Drew in action, you can see that he has talent... it's just a matter of finding a use for it. He doesn't fit in with Houston, granted, but this doesn't mean that he couldn't be a worthy player for another team.

The problem is how many teams in the NBA can he start for????? He couldn't start for the Clippers either because they have Keyon Dooling who is young and athletic.

Drew most likely would start on the Clippers. Most Clipper fans right now have JefF McInnis slated as their opening day PG. Dooling is a nice young player, but he just came out after his sophomore year, and will have a steep learning curve in the NBA. He isn't the type of player you want to throw right into the fire. The Clippers will bring him along gradually.

Personally, I'm still wondering why Doolilng went so high. The guy didn't perform that well in college: he was drafted almost exclusively for his athleticism. I'm not saying he can't be a good PG with some time, but I don't think he's a sure bet by any means.

Actually Keyon Dooling had a great freshman year but had injuries his sophomore season like Quentin Richardson. He is good, no doubt about that. The question is whether he can play the point where your mentality should be pass first, then shoot second. Steve Francis made a good transition from college shooting guard to NBA point guard. Not sure how long it will take Keyon.
