Where is the Nolan Ryan Expressway in Dallas? Never heard it mentioned at all up here. There is one in Alvin tho.... Otherwise, good but sad post.
Agreed Astros get shafted big time, Selig and Stern both need to gtfo and retire somewhere. NL is a better game than the AL. Sad part is that no one in the country really even cares that the Astros are getting the screw job, not even most houstonians.
Lol.. That's why AL has won these past years in interleague play, and you can see guys like Javier Vazquez succeeding in the NL and failing in New York!
Could there be a loophole that Selig and friends didn't think/know about? http://ksfa860.com/lawyer-finds-loophole-to-keep-houston-astros-in-national-league/ [insert Bud Selig picking his nose pic]
If that loophole keeps the Astros in the NL, that'd be amazing. That's also pretty doubtful. They'd better be careful; I'd rather have the AL'stros than no Astros.
It won't prevent it. Instead the city/county will just be looking for their cut of the pie just like Crane did.
They are the crappiest NL team west of the Mississippi cutting payroll, undergoing new management and heading in a completely new direction while in the dire straits. Makes sense. Besides, pitchers are lowsy hitters.
Good call. While I'd far rather see it put an end to this farce, I expect the county and the sports authority to take a buy out, if the clause is on the level. You know, thinking about it, I'd be surprised if there isn't a clause like that. And if there is, why hasn't it loomed over the NL/AL/Selig/McLane/Crane kerfluffle the whole time? I could think of a reason or two, but I'll hold off until we find out if the clause exists.
I'm a young Astros fan. Drayton, Selig, and Crane took away part of my childhood. **** them. That is all.
