What's the point of have the e and t lower case in the Rockets logo?

To be honest, I either never noticed it, or it's been too long and I forgot.

I have a blanket of the 22-game winning streak. It has the score to every game knitted into it. It's amazing....at work right now so I can't post a picture

well they were given away to a limited number of season ticket holders after the streak.

so it doesn't have the all the love put into it like yours...but it's cool nonetheless.

Love the blanket OP. Your girl's got some skills. I wish I could crochet or knit, but sewing is my thing. I bought that 22 win streak blanket off of eBay a few months ago, and I absolutely love it. This thread motivates me to post some of the Rockets items I've made that I've been meaning to share with y'all on here. I'll post them in the near future.

And about the Rockets font: All of the letters are lowercase except for the R. The same goes for Houston lettering on the jerseys except the H is the only one that is upper case. All of the letters are stretched, making some appear upper case. I have a throwback shirt that has even the r in rockets lowercase as well as a photo of Hakeem wearing a gray shirt with all of the letters in Rockets uppercase. Side note: Be careful when buying throwback jerseys on eBay. There are a lot of fakes that have the captialization wrong.

Looks like some of us men will need to get in on the act and make some Rockets-themed carpentry or whatever the male equivalent of sewing and knitting is.

 

Since we're talking blankets, my best friend made me this for my birthday (or was it Christmas? Hmm...) a couple of years ago. Damn near made me cry. That's Hakeem resting in the middle on it :

But wait for your birthday? WTF? What the hell is she going to get you for Christmas? Paint a 93-94 championship mural on your ceiling? But really it feels awesome to have you girl do something that awesome. Almost teared up a little when my girl got me to meet Hakeem. I think it was then and there in my mind I wanted to wife her. I suggest you do the same with your girl. :grin:
