Ok. I've solved the attendance problem. Off the top of my head. Simulated "Attendance". Imagine sitting at home, logging in with your "ticket", and suddenly you are surrounded by tens of thousands of fans watching the same game. It feels like you are there. You can hear your neighbor who bought season tickets right next you. You can hear the Lakers fans in the row below. Wow. About 100,000 people have bought tickets from China to England. The crowd is jam packed. But everybody is in the lower section. Everyone has a great view. This is great! Your projection screen gives you the feel like you are there. Hey John, how have you been, you ask. Good to see you at the game. I'll be right back, I'm going to fridge to get a beer. The team is playing on the court, in front of nobody, but it feels like they are in front of 100,000 with the noise being pumped in. Francis can barely hear. Pros: Unlimited attendance No driving Cheaper tickets Same experience as you would get at game No traffic jams No more billion dollar stadiums Low rent gyms with a few technological gadgets for simulation. Cons: No vendor, parking, or hotel receipts for city Computer errors. No game attendance. Wife has access to you.
What are u on? Sounds cool...though I believe it should be with the ability to go to games. other wise, no live experience, and players now play in dark empty gyms?! no fan support?
Ok...if the white sheet shadow dance MUST stay I say move it...move it to the large entrance behind the one goal. They could build a mini-stage and project the shadow from behind whatever is behind the black curtain. That was MORE of the arena can see the freakin' shadow. Granted, those behind it might be a little screwed but not as bad as it is now. The Powerdances with orange coned flashlights looks cheap and lame. Move the drummers all around the arena to get more of it involved.
The attendance WAS pathetic. I know it was the Cavs, but I expected at least a thousand or more there. I guess the Rox should just keep winning to attract more fans, bandwagon or not.
"This bandwagon sucks!" bob said to billy, and then he looked up over his shoulder and up over that horizon. Everything changed in that moment. I do believe, if history is correct, that he saw about 2 million Chinese people striding across the Texas plains in cowboy boots.
What really sucks is when I see a jam packed crowd at the Mavs games now. That hurts. It also hurts any homecourt advantage we might be able to have.
Attendance does suck. Maybe they should change their marketing strategy and get more fans in the building. Whatever they are doing now is not working. We deserve better. I go to games when I am in town and the attendance really sucks. When I travel to other cities, I try and catch an NBA game from time to time. Things are not the same anymore. I feel like I am going to a semi-pro basketball game. I want nothing more than to see the Rockets go on a big win streak like 10 in a row. Maybe that will help.
I heard that! We stayed late to catch the postgame interviews..We were walkin up the isle between 119 and 118 when we heard guys screaming for JC.. The section we were sitting in (119) was horrible...very few ppl cheering or yellin.. the view was nice, but I believe next time I'm goin back to the second level, where the loud fans are!
I know, the section I was in was not very cheerful until the 4th. We noticed some people started to leave with about 5 or 6 minutes left in the game. (I guess to beat the traffic. That is usually the excuse, but with a little over eight thousand there I don't think that would of been a problem.) So we started a loud conversation about everyone leaving mainly to keep everyone around us in there seats. According to the people behind us some got up to leave, turned around to look at us talking and quickly sat back down and cheered the rest of the game. During Eddie's interview, when they mentioned the Dallas game and the 15-0 record I screamed out "STOP DALLAS". He looked up and smiled so I think he heard it. My friend told me later that it might of sounded like I was rooting for Dallas. I hope not. I know I did say it kind of fast. Second level is where i will be next game. Every time I'm down low there is not much cheering and I love to cheer. Blatz
