I was thinking about how much money the Rockets will have next summer and I also found out Anderson will be a free agent. So I would let him get away and unload on Finley to come to Houston and if Taylor explodes for 20+ a game I say sign him to the max. 2001-2002 lineup: CATO MO TAYLOR FINLEY MOBLEY FRANCHISE Thats 4players in the starting 5 that can give you 20+ any night. projection record 52-30
Don't underestimate Shandon. He is a very important part of the team. And there is no way, even if we let go of Anderson, that we could afford both Taylor and Finley. We probably won't be enough under the cap to afford Finley alone, much less both. And Finley is almost a lock to stay in Dallas. The scenario won't work. ------------------ Looking for next year's Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net Sign Mo Taylor. Bench Kenny Thomas. Vote in the 64 player 1 on 1 NBA Tournament! Listen to Hoop-T, I live in Dallas and there is no way that Mark Cuban and Don Nelson will let Finley go... ------------------ Soon to be a Member of CCC. inc Pledgee T_Man
I love Finley's game. He would thrive with Francis. That would be a pair you pay money to watch play together........DROOL...... ------------------
Finley would be cool to get, but I think most people under estimate Shandon's ability. I think that he's a great defensive stopper, good scorer, and a decent rebounder as well. Plus, I would like to see him get rewarded for signing with us for so low an amount. Shandon could be as good as Finley IMO. Besides, seems to me he likes Dallas and the new owner just fine. ------------------ He who stands for nothing will fall for anything.
Shandon is one of those guys that every team must have in order to win a championship. He's not selfish at all, he works hard, and he's a well-rounded player. I'm looking forward to him being around for a long time. He just might be my new favorite (kind of like a replacement for Mario Elie). ------------------
Lil Francis: How could you even consider letting go of Anderson after the sacrifice in pay he made to come here? That would be a terrible thing for other free agents to see when they look at the Rocket's loyalty ------------------
Hey I understand how you feel LiL Francis. But they will probably offer Finley the organization. The Mavericks feel about Finley, like the Rockets feel about Hakeem. ------------------ Soon to be a Member of CCC. inc Pledgee T_Man
ummmm, if Finley decided to leave Dallas, which he never ever will, he'd leave for his hometown Chicago who also will have the capspace...... ------------------

I live in DFW, no chance Cuban lets Finley leave. Dallas is on the up and up and right now Finley is their leader. ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
Anderson has a "Player Option" for the third year of his contract Even if we wanted to, we may not be able to let him go via free agency. Of course, we could trade him, and there would be interest from EVERY team in the league. I'm not even going to start listing the 1001 reasons that have already been discussed here why the Rockets won't do that. ------------------ Current Rocket's Salary & Contract Info
It's a waste of energy to reply. Simply put, Cuban will spend WHATEVER it takes to keep Finley and the Luxury Tax be damned. 'Nuff said. ------------------ GATER
