With the most recent news on the season or no season to come there seems to be a big controversy over whether to tank it, go for the ring or hope the season is just plain and simple over.

Tanking it is just saying play our players who are about to expire to see who we want to resign or lose. Probably getting around the same lottery pick as we would have gotten with no season. Only downfall is NY's 1st round pick would probably be high 20's.

Go for the ring.....play off....some board members believe with a shortened season we have a higher chance of successfully making the playoffs. What we can achieve in each round who knows.... No lottery picks (most likely with NY's roster).

No season, similar to tanking is for 2 chances of a lottery pick. NY's chance at getting a lottery pick is substantially higher for the 6-14 picks. This route there is a chance of getting the 6th and 7th pic but there is also a chance of getting none at all. Chances chances.... Downfall, you dont get to test you expiring contracts one last time to see who is worth what and of course, no games to watch.

Aw man, I thought i was in the Hangout hahaha

My answer is the same though. You play to win. I can't watch a team that is just going to throw games, and I don't want no-basketball.

I played my Player, and the whole roster got messed up with the jacked up trade AI.

To top it off, the rubberbanding in 2k12 compared to previous years is ridiculous. I end up going to the finals against the Heat. I go up 3-0 on them and am on my home floor since the Heat had home court advantage.

All of the sudden, I can't score, turn the ball over like crazy and they are unstoppable. I decided not to reset after doin so out of anger for game 4 a few times. I actually won one, and the game froze going to the post game news conference. I leave the game and come back to play and decide to not reset, and now it's game 7. I want the title that I already won the first time, so when the AI is being unreasonable, I'm resetting. Well, I finally beat them again after a nearly flawless game because that's what it takes to win, and the game froze AGAIN...

After putting in countless hours from 82 regular season games and making it to the finals at full length 12 minute quarters...I gave up.

Can I ask you this then. Are you happy, content, satisfied with the last two year of mediocrity? Staying on this path will continue on the same road. You have to get worse to get better.

I wouldnt call it not playing to win. Your playing for the future of your club. Your playing to win for the future.

Show me someone that isn't a sore loser, and I'll show you a loser.

No, you're right, I haven't been happy. But as I said, I'd rather have the mediocrity over tanking or no basketball at all.

I guess to me, it's like me telling my boss, hey let me slack off for a couple years, but I'll give you some really good ones after that. Besides, outside of guys like LBJ, it takes more than one year of tanking to get you anything. Of all the top picks in recent history, how many are doing any real damage in the post season? Just recently DRose, Durant, Westbrook are starting to make a difference. Those guys were drafted what...3-4 years ago? Those teams still needed to get some key FAs to make noise.

I don't know, I guess I just hate the idea of tanking.

    Bad analogy.
You get rewarded for sucking in Sports Leagues. You get fired for sucking at any other job.

Unfortunately I don't think it's that clear. And history doesn't necessarily suggest that the road from bad to good happens very fast.

I guess I just get tired of sitting and hoping for investments to pay off in every other aspect of life. I don't want the sports entertainment industry to turn into the same thing.
