Well the Spurs have lost again and did not looks so good again. They are now 2 games behind us in the lost column. That feels good. Dallas is now undefeated but are facing Boston and New Jersey on the road, the next two nights. That could put them on the same page with us, if we take care of business against the Suns. The Kings are also on the road in Seattle.
San Antonio's still a lock for the playoffs. Floating at the top for a change is nice, but I'm more interested in seeing teams like Portand, Seattle, Minny, Phoenix, Clips, Utah lose games than the Spurs or Dallas or the Lakers.
Don't forget UTAH keeps burying themselves. We need the magic to beat the Clips tonight, eventhough it is early in the season. The same games lost or won now mean the same during a run.
Relavist, your preference is similar to deliberately shooting yourself in the foot. During the summer when I posted that the Rockets, or another power in the west, should stop Clark from falling in the hands of the Kings, posters said that we are 2-3 years away and cannot focus on what the Kings do. Rubbish! It is tragic when one lacks foresight. Now all signals so far suggest that we are going to be in the top 4-5, when most were expecting us to be in the bottom half. So we really should focus on what the Kings are doing, afterall. Do you have any idea where the Kings would be now if Clark was not no that team. I know it would have been a tough sell for us, based on our talent and impending increase in payroll. A team like the Warriors should have jumped on him. Now to this situation, while it is not particularly glaring, we are going to be in the top half. Then why adopt a perspective of not hoping for the anticipated front runners to falter. To me the more those teams lose the better it is for us. Those teams want you to think like that - kill the other teams and give us a free ride. As we continue to get our act together, we must find it within ourselves to actively accept the struggles of every team in the west including the big boyz.

Their defense is as good as it gets today. 6 Sacramento Kings 5 They're not playing at the same level as last season yet if only because they've been battered by injuries. Just wait. 7 Philadelphia 76ers 8 They don't look pretty, but they still have a lot of injuries. When everyone gets healthy, they have to start winning on the road. 8 San Antonio Spurs 6 Their shooting and athletic players are erratic. If they're going to seriously compete, it will take more than Tim Duncan. Just as we discussed. TD alone is not going to cut it. 9 New Orleans Hornets 2 This is another very good team that has yet to prove it can go out on the road and beat good teams. 10 Houston Rockets 14 Nobody knows what to make of these guys as Steve Francis keeps getting better and Yao Ming is beginning to figure this out.
