I have been doing this for five years and it has been very frutiful for me. Most of the numbers I am missing are contacts I have already made at this particular company. We have developed a strong network within the downtown offices. Problem is people move around a lot. If I need to get someone, I can call the directory, but the operators have started hanging up on me. It is getting slower. Especially with this new shuffling around of the downtown offices. Any sort of hacker directory or whatever, would simply lead to me being more efficient. We have a very set target market at the company. We are calling based on age and title. I will do the random number dial, but it is also ineffiecient. Just trying to streamline my time and my assistant's.
Not at all. When you are calling people who actually want your services, and did not realize there was someone out there who specializes in it, the job is like shooting fish in a barrell. Very rewarding with good pay. Sucks ass.
