Hello, my name is hairyme, and I used to be a hater. This following exchange happened around 2005ish as I was leaving some senior level math course one late afternoon... ME: What's with all the traffic going into the stadium? BIG CLASSMATE GUY: It's probably for the football game tonight. ME: Huh what? We have a football team?! BIG CLASSMATE GUY: Uhhh... yeah, [sounds defeated] I-I-I'm on it. *silence* Needless to say, I felt like an ass... and I've been a fan ever since! Seriously though, what kind of world do we live in when I can't even hate on athletics amongst math majors?!
I will be coming down for the game but it should be interesting. If SMU wins this TCU had a legit shot at going to the Sugar Bowl, therefore, I will unfortunately be rooting for an SMU win (it even sounds weird to say).
I went to two or three games during our 0-11 season in 99. (I think it was 99) **** the haters. And Rice blows goats.
Extremely well said and I feel your sentiments exactly. 2002 was my first year at UH and I remember that game/season. I have been a diehard ever since and that has just made the last 5-6 years where we have been very good; and this year where we are top 10 all the more awesome. I hope we can finish this thing out, go Coogs!
This seemed like an impossible dream during the 0-11 2001 season. It makes this feeling that much sweetier. GO COOGS !!!
not sure if serious. John Cena? What does he have to do with UH? There are so many celebrities with ties to our school.

Yes because someone from Victoria is way better to represent htown than someone actually from htown. Let's invite Manu Ginobili while we're at it.
When college gameday was in Tuscaloosa a couple of weeks ago I managed to snag this pic. Needless to say I enjoyed the view
