Nothing to worry about, Matt Leinart's from LA...home of the whoo-ride!!!

Texans should still win the division, but playoffs will be another story...

the one up side I see to this is that the offense in Arizona was a mess, an absolute mess. It took a hall of fame quarterback in Warner to get that team anywhere. All the other quarterbacks that have gone through that system have been nothing but failures. Is it the system or the qb? Leinart isn't the greatest but the system is at fault as well.

Won't make the bet because the game plan will change because Kubiak knows that Leinart sucks. He'll have one pick and be like 15/24 for like 125 yards. It's going to be a bunch of dump off crap, but the Jags will stack 8-9 on the line to stop our running game.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him hold onto the ball too long and fumble after getting sacked. So I'll make the bet for two turnovers total.

Looks like without anymore superstars, the Rockets injury bug decides to infect the Texans.

Once Manning went down and the rest of the division went into rebuilding mode, just getting into the playoffs shouldn't be enough. If this team is good as they say it is, they at least better win a playoff game or two.

Man we need to BLOW UP that god damn Astrodome next door. I swear that thing is just a sitting curse of the Oilers and Astros failures from years past.

Let the ghosts pass! Blow the dome!

    See: Baltimore Ravens, Trent Dilfer.

The Texans have a great defense.

    Hope??

If you're looking for three reasons to remain positive, Cushing, Foster, and Wade Phillips.

Can Leinart actually play on this team with the starters in a game that matters before you quit like a little b**** and go to the "it's on Kubiak" card? Stop being a defeatist. (edit)

Leinart is more mobile and has about the same arm strength as Schaub. I don't think we will get that much worse. If anything it makes the play action that much more effective as no one will expect Leinart to throw the ball. There is a good chance we come out throwing. Let's hope Leinart can become Kurt Warner 2.O. I fully expect Leinart to be a game manager, which will win us 4 of the next 6 and a home playoff game.

even though it's a bye week, kube said the team won't hit the practice field until next wednesday.

and i think it's a new rule that on the byeweek, players need 4 consecutive days off including a weekend, or something like that. not sure.

but either way, steve young mentioned on monday night countdown that greg knapp has been working really hard with leinart and that leinart has been really eating up everything he can about the offense. he knows it all and has been a really good student.

he only has to be a competent QB, and i'm hoping that he can do that.

i too was very cynical about the texans situation, half jokingly wondering when something like this would happen to crush our season.. but now that it has actually happened, i still have hope, believe it or not.

Matt Schaub's foot X-Rays were negative when they were taken at halftime. Played the 2nd half, only threw 3 passes.

I thought the Texans were waiting on that one doc that's out of town? I'm hoping for a miracle.

If we get a first round bye, our first playoff game would be 9 weeks from yesterday. The SB would be 12 weeks from yesterday.

Are people really on here saying "if we make the playoffs"?

We still play Carolina, Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Indianapolis. We should beat those teams even with Jamarcus Russell as our QB. The playoffs are a lock. Titans still play @ buffalo and @ atlanta and then play the Saints at home. They should finish right around 8-8, we already have 7 wins. If Seattle can beat the Saints in the playoffs, then we stand a chance.

Ha I still can't believe this. Is this some sort of sick joke or what? Never would have believed it if you told me Schaub, Mario, Andre, Manning, all these guys would be out. Sorry Gary.
